In an exclusive interview with Diane Sawyer, Judd said she was a young actress when Weinstein allegedly cornered her in a hotel room under the guise of a business meeting. Weinstein denies all allegations.

@heathergraham25816 жыл бұрын
crazy cat lady Actually, I listened to some of Rose's interviews to get some insight into why people are being so critical of her. To be honest? I don't see where the criticism is warranted. I think hate gets launched at her because she is unapologetically feminist. Does she come across forceful at times? Absolutely. I think her experiences have hardened her and she is no nonsense on it. She is going to be blunt and not mince words. She is not looking to be popular with the public; she's looking to be honest. And sometimes truth is hard to swallow. Rose is not criticizing random innocent people. If people understood the depth that goes into what she is educating others about, by researching this topic themselves, she has been explaining Hollywood, the machine, and how it operates. How this system lures in it's victims? It is very Elitist and there are many enablers who are guilty of protecting these Elitist sexual predators. They literally set you up. These enablers can be men or women, some former victims themselves who turn predator or others who turn a blind eye by helping to set up potential victims in the name of keeping their careers. This is not the same as the women (or men) who haven't reported their assaults for years based on the fear and being retaliated against by powerful men in this industry. These poor victims are being falsely accused of nonsense things like selling their soul to Hollywood. Rose has been calling out enablers who are hosting these supportive events as a facade, or pretending to support the real #metoo movement just for show. But behind closed doors in Hollywood, they can care less about breaking down this vicious cycle of predation. THAT is who Rose has been launching her strong words against and rightfully so.

Positive Negativity I'm a grandmother. I'm educated and in no way a bimbo but here I am defending my myself once again. The words you used to describe women reek of misogyny. I'll use simple words baby like I'm speaking lovingly to my grandsons. We don't use ugly curse words to speak to women, we don't use filthy curse words to describe women's body parts. I know your friends do and laugh but is this how you would want someone to address CoCo? I would receive a resounding NO! I have been sexually assaulted many times in my life. I have been stalked and raped by a predator in my early college years. Raped by a pharmacist body builder using steroids. We didn't have the language for stalking or 'roid rage' then. I'm 5'3 and weigh 115lbs. I didn't report that or any of the times a man forced his way into my apartment and was fought off. Shame, intense shame and humiliation are what you feel as a victim of these crimes. I was raised in the south by a strict Roman Catholic family. I took on the responsibility of the perpetration. I did tell every girl in the store where I worked and over half had the same experience. Most went to their mothers. I didn't have that luxury. I was 19 years old. We formed a protective alliance to make sure every girl watched over the others. That's what we do, we tell each other and become silent protectors to the girls in our lives. Throughout my professional years I reencountered lewd behavior in the work place. I became so crafted at ignoring and ploughing ahead that my superiors once remarked that I never seemed to notice when a man (ironically a pharmacist or buyer) was coming on to me. I feigned ignorance and shrugged my shoulders "why my goodness I did not. You are clearly imagining things." We as mothers teach our daughters to navigate the waters of unwanted sexual advances and outright predidation in ways that would seem absurd to our sons. We teach them avoidance and responsibility regarding someone else's sick behaviors when they're in elementary school. It sickens me to see the ignorance of sexualizing little girls in our culture. Lambs to the slaughter. You assume too much Positively Negative. Your youth betrays you. I pray it's youth. Your rant against women was so sad but proved the point of the rampant ideology of angry men around the world and throughout time. Does it surprise anyone that all the powerful women in scripture were labeled prostitutes by the Nicean council? Go further back, that Etruscan women participated in free love and no child knew who "his" father was. All the archeological evidence indicates that this could be no further from the truth. But a Greek historian wrote it. Only prostitutes were allowed to dine with Greek men. This is a struggle that began in the garden. The real problem began when Adam shifted blame to Eve instead of standing up properly and being the husband beside her. He should've snapped the snake's head off and tossed him over the fence then put his arm around his wife and said "let's talk to God." Misogyny is anti-Christ. Women share in the creative force and nature of God. Look in your soul and nurture your spirit. Why do you hate women Positively Negative? You state that by not reporting she was directly responsible for every women victimized after her. She did speak up and she's still doing it. Now with social media it's possible for women everywhere to back her up and stand beside her. You can see it and hear it now but it's been happening for eons. It shouldn't surprise anyone that the Sutherland Springs shooter was dishonorably discharged from the USAA for domestic assault against his wife and infant step son. I'm sure he had a lot to say about women more powerful and educated than a disgraced military failure like himself. But now it's all coming out and like a quilt all the pieces fit for everyone to see. Who will really look?

@nipnipnip75086 жыл бұрын
Gloria Hatch i know that's a retorical point you're making but im going to reply anyway, helps me work out my thinking, feel free to ignore me. from where I'm sitting i just see a bunch of dysfunctional people chasing a dream and sacrificing all kinds of things to achieve it. There are certain things that happen when people are desperate, it's not niceand it's not pretty. if you live in a state of desperation (for fame, glamour or success), then there will be people who will take advantage of that and abuse you, and often people will tolerate the abuse if they think it will move them closer to the thing they feel that they need. And i think the reason some people are unsympathetic to some of these women is for the same reason some people are not so sympathetic towards people who stay in abusive relationships (which this was in a way). One can see there is some symbiosis going on, some give and take on both sides.

People saying these women are "Nut cases" need to understand the damage caused by that comment. Trying to disregard somebody stating that they were abused by questioning their mental state is deeply offensive and there is actually a name for that considering women and its called Gas-lighting. Put yourself in her shoes, imagine being a brand new young actress in Hollywood, scoring what you believed was a business meeting with a huge powerful producer and finding yourself suddenly inside his hotel room, powerless. How dare people ask why she didnt escape or fight back, its the way that we have been conditioned as a society that is to blame for that, of course nowadays hopefully women wouldn't stand for it but back then it simply was too common.
@Lindrosn519765 жыл бұрын
SUDDENLY inside his hotel room? Like Weinstein cast a spell and transported her body into his room? She willingly WENT to a business meeting in his hotel room. No one forced her. She could have cancelled the meeting or insisted on a neutral location. Funny how she waited so long to speak up while other women were being assaulted. Why didn't she stand up for herself? I know women who are not famous who did. She wanted to be famous and was willing to play the game as long as she won. Well she lost and is now crying foul. Shame on her and anyone who supports armchair activists.
