The Philippine history is always a flash point in a conversation even among family members. The important question really is...are they going to have a sequel in the future? The Marcos are back in power and it seems that a lot of history was forgotten...how else are the Marcoses back in power?

Because "Here Lies Love" purposely cut-off the "and they lived happily ever after" part. The Filipino already did their part. Mother and Son Aquinos miserably failed to bring to fruition the promises of Edsa. The narrative of Edsa has always been the favorite milking cow of the other political elite to get re-elected. Filipinos are already tired and want to move on. There is no magical reason why the Marcoses are back. They simply broke the promises of Edsa. Period.

I love Lea Salonga. Let’s move on. The late Aquinos Cory and Noynoy were worse. Karma came to bite and now the family who’s ridiculed has a family member who’s Philippine President - Bongbong Marcos and he’s truly a working President unlike the ones who succeeded his late father.

And yet, according to Paul McCartney, the influence of the Marcos family left quite a rather awful legacy on the Beatles ( during their visit to the Philippines in the 1960s ) .... Ever since such a legacy, none of the Beatles members ever returned to the Philippines.
