I believe that Savannah knew nothing about what her parents did, she is doing great despite all the changes in her life. I never really paid much attention to the show but I always thought they were pretty funny. I wouldn’t be surprised if they all knew. They were all definitely living *WAAYYY* above their means. They weren’t making anywhere even remotely near the money Todd so desperately and diligently tried to make everyone think they were AND reality show talent DOES NOT get paid that much at all. Unless you’re a Kartrashian and have been on air as long as they have. Pretty sure the move from Georgia to Tennessee was due in part to them thinking/knowing they were about to get busted for their fraud, not to be closer to Savannah.

I'm no celebrity so I do not understand what it's like to manage them. But as a normal person who has taken out loans for cars, personal loans, and even credit cards, you have to a contract saying you agree to the terms. In the situation with the chrisley's, they hired a man to keep track of their finances and bills. They not only had responsibility to pay the man for doing his job, but they gave him authorization of some sort, which allowed him to bypass the chrisley's. He left them in the dark, but because it's under their name it falls back the chrisley family, not on this man. Why? Because he got immunity. Which keeps him from serving prison time and he doesn't have to pay back any money. So Chrisley's became liable. After all it was their name on the contracts, not this guy's name.

She said that it costs tax payers $60,000s (each) per year to pay for them to be imprisoned.. and how expensive that is.. but that’s kinda the point. Your *FREEDOM* is absolutely *PRICELESS* and as such you shouldn’t EVER wager it by committing a crime &/or go against the law(s). It’s too high of a price to pay once caught. All that said,, I DO find her to be an inspiration. To be put in such a predicament by her parents.. Most would have crawled under a rock or stuck their head in the sand. She’s got spunk to fight and I can only imagine but to be a person in prison,, no doubt EVERY person in prison wouldn’t want to be forgotten and they’d be praying for people on the outside fighting-the-fight to get them out. Moral here is to follow the law and stay out of prison. *FREEDOM*.. Something wonderful about being able to get a pizza at 2am,, and oh yea,, also going potty without multiple eyeballs on me, lol.

Ones who's killed, raped, tortured, kidnapped etc...and then you have those who work daily on their cases to get a shot at a new trial or overturn of sentence or get their sentence vacated and so on ...So that is ppl that are begging to get out of prison. @@mandybradley3079 People who evade taxes are not just cheating the government, they are also stealing from everyone who follows tax laws and regulations. Todd and Julie were successful real estate developers who lived a lavish lifestyle. What they were actually doing was inflating the value of their properties for loan purposes, using that money to finance their lifestyle, then getting other loans to pay off the debts. It was a Ponzi scheme with banks as the investors. , They developed and presented fake financial statements to inflate their net worth and income when it was convenient and deflate those numbers on their tax returns.

Financial crimes do take lives look at Eron and Bernie Madoff some of those people who lost money took their lives. Her and her family take no accountability.

Bernie Madoff didn't take his life. His son did because the Madoff name became a burden to have. No one would hire him. Bernie died from illness in prison.

If one steals money, I agree with punishment, but as others have said, many murderers don’t receive 19 years.

There is some truth to what she said though. People so far worse crimes that have victims and they’re let out. Or barely sentenced to little time.

I agree with her. There are a lot of red flags on this case. They could be paying it back if they owed it. I just don't think the punishment is fitting the crime.

Most people who have murdered do not even get 12 plus years in prison. Tax fraud is NOT something you should get 12 plus years in prison. Yes jail time! But not 12 years.

It was interesting that no one said the parents were not guilty. Not the daughter, not the lawyer. They just feel like they shouldn't be punished with jail time. $17M is a lot of money and its hard to claim thats wasn't tax evasion. And unfortunately, tax evaders have gone to prison for significantly less than $17M. I think with so many people who've gotten away with it, they must have made someone angry or refused to pay someone off.

Because they’re guilty. The government had documents showing the wire transfers and false loans. They perpetuated a huge fraud where they stole millions from several banks. Not once have they apologized or accepted their guilt.
