Jana is an inspiration and her achievements in athletics were remarkable. I remember vividly of all her struggles in her sports career because I am a huge athletics fan. The pressure she was under and every media wanting to hear speak. Deep down, she is one determine woman and I have always marvel at her determination. She is taking on a whole new career path. A supportive hushand and she now embraces motherhood and familyhood. This is one super woman. You are amazing Jana - no, you are amazing Dr Jana Pittman.

I’m happy to see everything she has achieved. I remember the Drama Jana stage. Around 20years ago my friends and I were at a club in Sydney and we got the early in the line to grab the best table. Not long after we were told to move so Jana and her friends could take over the area we were in. No sorry or apologies. They got to walk in like they owned the place. I got the hype but I couldn’t get the enthusiasm behind her achievements then after that. I can now.

The way the media vilifies and slanders people is deplorable. My heart is crushed for what they put her through and it saddens me how the public treats public figures, thinking they have any right to admonish them. The worst of humanity. She is an amazing person, and I'm glad her story became a happy one.

We watched her in SAS and she is a freaking SUPERSTAR. My daughters and me LOVE her. As a nurse, I would love to work with Dr Pittman! My eldest daughter wants to be a Dr, and my youngest, an Olympian. She is an inspiration!

Anyone not inspired by this woman has issues. Jana is awe inspiring for what she has achieved. I am blown away by what she has accomplished so far in her short life. Jana in my eyes is a true role model for young women, and also for males too.

It’s a miracle she even made it to Athens and she was brave to give it a go. The easy option was to not compete! To be ridiculed the way she was is embarrassing for Australia. Good on her for becoming a doctor and helping people in need. She is a true champion.

I had to laugh at the end there, when it said in her spare time, she is currently working on her PHD in Obstetrics , and has joined the army reserve. Not to mention having twins. "In her spare time!" Surely she is part woman, and part machine! What an inspiration woman.

Please do and in-depth study on the state of genealogical care in Australia. This story is misleading and misinformation on the treatment of thousands of Australian women every year. I’m insults the many who aren’t famous sport stars and are negligently striped of their fertility by a failing system and negligent medical staff.
