This idea of a film or show that completely "works" is kind of lame. Art isn't a clock or a computer. If a project has moments of transcendence, that's more than the vast majority of shows and it's enough to justify its existence. The stuff with the Weekend doesn't fully work (mainly due to him being miscast) but so what? Also, it's clearly inspired by Nxivm, so nothing that occurs really deviate from their playbook. It's just that people have no idea how to engage with art that doesn't specifically tell you a person is bad.

People are just so used to abel the Weeknd and not Abel the actor, feels off. Abel should not have this much of role in a acting debut. Small role in season 1 that's picks up a lot in season 2 would be a ideal transition.

Why would that be in any way an interesting show. We’ve seen so many iterations of that and we all know what it would look like. This was a 🔥show that the terminally online SJW Gen-Z’ers who have not gotten laid so far this decade if ever and have no independent thoughts or perspective went on a crusade against to LITERALLY “Cancel”.

Girl...... Everytime there's a s*x scene between Abel and Lily, it's giving 50 Shades of Grey. I will say that Lily's performance in this episode was absolutely AMAZING tho! She was legit making me tear up during the music video shoot.

Right!?!? Have to admit that was a really great sequence and the way it was filmed and acted and edited, I loved it and it kept me on edge! Lily’s acting sold it for me too she was amazing!!

What Tedros is getting out of Jocelyn is her fans. He’s going to use her to get his message and his manipulation out to a larger audience. There’s a scene in the trailer where she is on a performance stage and she says “hello angels” which is exactly what he always says

Love this take 😂 the show feels completely diff once he shows up and for his scenes! It goes from an emotional intense sequence showing the hardships of Jocelyn and making a music video to…..fifty shades LOL

Lily Rose is great. The mom scene got me (as someone who lost their mom and kinda..wild out for awhile) was great. I wish they showed these scenes, as opposed to just telling us. The Weeknd. Nope. He doesn't have enough charm to be a cult leader. He's just a creep with nothing endearing.
