This selection was performed as part of the 2nd portion of a concert presented in December, 1992 entitled “An English Holiday Concert” featuring the Abendmusik Chorus, Plymouth Brass and organist Stephen Krahn conducted by Sir David Willcocks.

I love this song. I do not know much about music to comment on the rhythm, but the words are so Biblical, and the music is such that it bears the weight of the words, to the degree of which is possible. The voices, clear and sonorous.
