Why anybody would wear a surgical mask when on holiday in summer on a sparsely populated tropical island in 2023 is a mystery. Walking around deserted roads etc... weird.

As of 2024, most people no longer wear masks.

@@aberagetv I'm thrilled to have read this. When I was last in Japan (late Sept 2023) they were tragically common, even in the most absurdly inappropriate of environments. I'm happy humans can shake off this illogical programming and go back to living normally without these anti social face curtain security blankets. Habits are hard to break. Love your channel by the way.

I think most Japanese were not wearing masks because they were afraid of infectious diseases, but they were afraid of being called "people who don't wear masks." Even if the country says to wear a mask arbitrarily, it is Japanese that it is difficult to take off if the people around you are wearing a mask. Now that we no longer talk about infectious diseases on TV, we no longer look at people who don't wear masks with strange eyes. Please come to Japan again someday. I hope you have a pleasant stay. Thank you for loving my channel.
