Guid auld Aeburdeen - what a place, a city that's a 10-minute walk from my home. Been here for 28 years since joining the oil industry - I'm originally from the small town of Stenhousemuir in Central Scotland. But Aberdeen? It's got everything you can want: great bars, pubs, restaurants, art galleries, museums, and many beautiful historic buildings. Oh, and very, very nice people!😄😄😄!!

Many of the "old" buildings are built of granite, the ancient grey hard rock that nature and geology provides in north Scotland.Aberdeen is called the granite city Fit like loons as the Aberdden greeting goes Simon Artley Manchester

So depressing town, the main street is still under reconstruction, other streets are blocked, this is not what you see every day 😢

It's gone seriously downhill because the majority of wealth is based on oil, so it's a very cyclical city. Went to uni there and worked for 5 years there, it's never been worse than it is now.
