Rangers win the league at Pittodrie in Graeme Souness' first season in charge. A brilliant header by Terry Butcher secures the required point as Falkirk beat Celtic at Parkhead. Championi Championi!!

Got out of hospital on this day, after 6 weeks in traction, spent the afternoon in my bedroom with the radio on tears of Joy streaming down my face. knowing I'd never play football again. but loving Rangers always filled that gap

Happy memories I remember that day all right. I was 14 in my aunties in Penilee listening on the radio with family. I’d never known them winning the league, me & my dad uncle & big cousin crying with delight happy happy days

Fantastic game blood & thunder and good football to boot this is what the European game was all about sadly not now the third world has destroyed it like everything else.

+wex 1888 If you can,try writing a full sentence, you and see are not that difficult. It's not the same fans having a go at the ref,as players being told to do so by the boss, not that Souness was any better at setting an example.

Interesting them taling about wanting to be the best in Europe. With England being banned it was an opportunity to do that. Probably the last time for a Scottish side. I think it was the following season you signed two of our players steven and Stevens. A world class right side and the end of a great Evertons great side.

Can you imagine the snowflake players of today coming up against the likes of Souness or Miller??? They would shite it and need some quiet space and councelling. An era when players were hard hard guys(also into the 90's.

Souness never had a good game in Scotland. He resorted to this sort of play as he was found out. Him aside, this was a decent game. Two good sides going at it. Some decent players on both sides. Shame that the rangers fans allowed their club to die.
