Over the last couple of years, I have done a lot of beautiful treks in the Himalayas. Among all these treks one of my all-time favorite trek is The Triund Trek.

Did this trip last month during christmas time, total cost was around Rs 2800- 3000 for 3 days, if you are planning to go then i would recommend dont take a cab to visit naddi view point and st john church instead treak, from the main gate of st john church there is an off beat path that goes to dal lake and naddi view point , take this to reduce your distance by half, but its a proper mountain climb so only do it if you have experience with trekking before and are in good shape cause it gets very tiring, these are the only to stop in mcleodganj, after that from naddi view point take a auto back to main market, will cost Rs150 ..it will drop you off at the main taxi and bus stand, from there take a shared cab which will take Rs 25 each and will drop you off in dharamshala petrol pump which is the main drop and pickup point, from there you can take a shared taxi to visit staduim

Hi Abhimanyu, thank you for this video. I have done one day Triund trek last week and it was an amazing experience. I stayed at HPTDC Bhagsu hotel. Great service, great experience! Due to time constraints, I and my friends didn't go to snowline. We plan to do it overnight trek with stay close to snow line. I agree that trek should start from gullu devi temple. Best time to visit in Feb/Mar if you wish to see snow capped mountains. I traveled from other place to McLeodganj. Where can I catch bus from Delhi to McLeodganj? Can you help?

Will surely checkout the cafés next time.. Last time when we visited.. Due to some weather issues we couldn't make the Triund trek. But we did a small trek to Gallu waterfall... Very beautiful and offbeat... Most people don't know about it actually... But it was really a beautiful one...

Few questions. 1. Dharmshala or McLeodganj alag alag jagah hai kya? 2. Delhi to dharmsala yaa mcleodganj ka fare kya hai? 3. Mehenga ka definition kya hai? 1. 4. Ghalu or dhamkoot kya cheez hai yeh? Yahan kya hota hai? Kaunsi jagah se start karrein? And agar yahan rukk na hai to yahan takk jaaye kaise? I mean mcloedgand yaa dharmshala bus stand se kitna.duur hoga yeh? 5. Snow line pe stay ke jo tent milte hai, wo dete kaun hai? I mean wahan hote hai kya organizers?

Yes you can do this. But I don't think snowline is accessible right now due to heavy snow. Please confirm this with locals

If you are going with a group then they'll help you. If going on your own, locals / fellow trekkers will help you. That's why I always say never to go on a trek alone.

They provide both tent and food. The last time I went it was... 500 per head for camping... 150 per head for thali

Glad you enjoyed this video. You can try to do this trek in winters but it all depends on the trail. Usually it is blocked due to heave snow. You can ask a local hotel owner for latest update regarding the status of the snow and if the trail is open.

this is an easy trek but no trek is easy if you are unfit. a right way to prepare for such treks is to do 30 to 40 minutes jogging and 100 squats daily. you can also do 30 to 40 pushups everyday for strength

Triund treks are closed during peak winter because of snow fall, 2/3 months I guess, you can research.
