I had a dream that I gave birth to a daughter that looked just like me. We did not have a name for her and then name Abigail was given. I’ve never thought of that name so I thought it to be so random. The dream was so clear and real it woke me from my sleep at 4am. I have finally did some biblical research on the name and stubbled on this video. I am 31 years old and turn to God through difficulties I was facing in my relationship. I am beginning to believe that in my dream I was witnessing my birth as Abigail. I was meant to hear this message from God through my dream. Thank you for sharing.

Abigail's story in the Bible stands out for a number of reasons. As a woman of beauty and brains, she counsels David, prophesies his kingship, and becomes one of his wives who is actually named. Her character shows us that women of God can be humble, wise, and diplomatic.

Correction: Yet another teaching on women enduring abusive marriage with a rhetorical question: The cup that my father has given me should I not drink it? Abigail never makes that statement herself in the given passage. Yes her actions may well show that she did endure her suffering with wisdom, knowledge and prudence. However it's worth pointing out that there is no mention of children in the marriage which may also indicate that there weren't married for long time. Many women and men and their children suffer domestic abuse including coercive control for years with a strong Christian believe that this is the cup the Lord has asked them to drink. How damaging.

Man I was just thinking to my self as I was hearing the story and had read it earlier, Oh my goodness I’m not even worthy of even touching the dust of her sandals , I’m completely the opposite, and I admire so much the way she talked and how she handled everything, I can’t even get up in the morning to make coffee for my Husband with out nagging 🥺

Re: Why did Abigail marry such an crude man: During that time in history, her father would have arranged the marriage motivated by financial benefit.

Correction! David was not acting like a Robin Hood, a worldly figure that did not give honor and Glory to God first it is not by good works that get's you into the kingdom of God. David was acting like a man after God's own heart he was a ting like God's Anointed one, David was acting like one who put others safety first while putting God above all so that he can have that in his heart to put safety and others first. In short he was acting like one who truly honors his Father and God!
