Somehow it's very reassuring to see teacher miscalculate too, but staying calm and just finishing anyway, demonstrating the best way of dealing with inevitable mishaps, instead of turning it into a non-existent crisis as some of us do :)

I just discovered your videos because I am finally gettin a serger! After 30 years of wanting one. Love your vids. Also noticed your elephant fabric under the machine - I have an apron in the same fabric!! I am thinking it is Cath Kidston as my friend who made it for me is a Cath Kidston fan - as you appear to be as well. haha!!!

Thanks. This is wonderful and will use up odds and ends of fabric. Beginners will be able to see that any little mistake isn't necessarily going to spoil the project. Lovely little mat which can be whipped up in no time on the overlocker. I love it!

Even a professional can get things wrong. I re-up holster furniture and need to know how to make cushings, trimming, and piping etc. I find Abi's Den very informative. Thank you Abi for your clear instructions.

Abi. I have just bought an overlocker. dont know how i ever managed without it. I love watching your videos. I have already made the purse for the accessories and i have only had it ut of the box for 30 minutes. I am subscribed and will make the mat as soon as I get sone fat quarters. thank you so much. I have the Brother M3034W as i make a lot of wide pieces so the extra table is handy. x

Thank you Abi for inspiring me to be more creative with my overlocker. I have had my grand old dame since about 2001 and she really hasn't done too much in that time. Now she's in having a service and when she is back I will make a mat for her (with her help, we will work together) and then she will sit grandly near my sewing machine - as an equal because she will be used.
