@@cokomairena True!!! You can accomplish the same on both. Koala just streamlines it and makes it a much simpler process. Ableton is king but Koala is coming out swinging....👊

As a Koala lover I can’t really agree. It’s all YOU need on your devices. Koala has ZERO instruments. No one wants to sample every sound every time. Koala is a great tool but….. Let’s just hear your most finished production on it.

I'm not sure tbh, Ableton has always been great for MIDI mapping, so I'd expect them to have it on their mobile app, but I can't confirm whether that's the case or not.

Yes, I played them on the app with the built-in samples - same goes for the bass line at the end.

Just drag and drop a video file onto an audio track or Simpler. Or use the "Sample" Chrome extension to record just the audio form anything playing in your browser.

With gate the sample only plays as along as you hold the pad, with trigger you can just tap the pad and it plays the whole sample, you don’t need to hold it.

I understand that Android users feel left out but in reality *most* good music production apps are iOS only. From what I've read, this is due to technical (the huge variety of Android devices, which makes it more complicated, latency issues, etc.) and economic reasons (Android users considerably less likely to spend money on apps than iOS users). You can find plenty of explanations about this from actual app developers if you want to learn more details. If you're on Android, just get Koala Sampler.

A dick move is to judge a company while you don't have a slightest idea what are the exact reasons behind them not willing to develop this app for the android market…

Nah, he is right. All developers should be putting their apps in Android as well. High Latency isn't even a valid excuse anymore. And even if it was, I'd rather have a app with high Latency than none at all. I spent more money on music apps in iOS than anything else by far. But I don't like iOS or want an Apple device. I would happily buy all those apps again on Android. Caustic used to be the only good choice, but it's been abandoned. Luckily Koala came around and saved the day. But we still want all the big guys to release their stuff too.
