I somebody said once said money doesn’t always equal taste . And as a famous Coco Chanel one said: luxury must be comfortable otherwise it is not luxury. For this does not look comfortable... As well as that someone who said: people who have a lot of moneyDon’t dress as well as people who have to make do, who have to be inventive. It looks like that also goes for the places to live and how they choose to decorate where they live. Because style is something you possess not buy .

I can see the future of these areas , Long time residents and small local shops are being pushed out and sold to these rich people who have more money than sense. Thy come and buy homes, and redesign them, add basements for gyms and pools they probably early use. Problem with that is it weakens the neighboring homes structure, I've watched a show on the damages it does that leaves the neighboring or attached home start to crack walls and foundations. Because in most cases the rich owners don't live there full time so trying to get them to pay for damages damages is a nightmare. In lot of cases the rich owners sell and move on without paying and leaves them with the bill . What will happen to all these revamped homes once they move on? They will stand empty, normal working class can't buy them. All those posh yes ma,m designers will be out of a job, lol. I don't like that these people think its okay to kill animals because its for a rich client, Shame on them all. If these rich people coming over want to make a name or gain respect there are a lot of different ways than blowing money on trivial things to do that. Here's an idea, help those who have no home or enough food.

after this, i would be embarrassed to be Juliet's "customer". the idiocy of price for lighting is disgraceful...i dont care how much money u have...like having a gold crapper. the army inspector is insane and i say this as an interior designer who is a captain in IDF.

Just for shits and giggles, I tallied how much my furniture in my 1-bedroom apt. cost: I arrived at less than € 2000 for everything. A lot of my stuff I got pre-loved in great condition and frankly, I only have what I truly use and need. It's so nice to have a little bit of empty space as well, it highlights the things I have. Since I rent, I didn't want to go through the hassle of painting my walls and then taking the paint off again when I move out, so they remained white. It doesn't look boring though, since I have lots of colourful artwork (mostly selfmade on the cheap) and colourful textiles. Taste is very subjective, obviously, but I think far more people would find my home aesthetically pleasing than these dark and oppressing moneypits shown here.

Yes, the destruction next door in Knightsbridge was “shockingly wasteful “. As was 25 stingrays used for the top of that table. And didn’t he also say that the foyer was covered in shagreen? Am I the only one in 2021 wondering if those homes have already rotated to new owners?

The lady who did the first house looks like her hair came from the 70's and her interiors remind me of the Georgians to Victorian era. The crystal lady needs to get rid of her eyeliner it makes her look older. I absolutely loved the guy designer. I wish I was on his design team!

Expected to see some wonderful things and what a letdown. How foolish the buyers are to settle for so many shiny objects that have no relation to the next shiny object. One is cautious about sounding too critical but the people who claim to be the taste setters have only a passing notion of good taste or even good grammar. The very first offering trots over carpets with her bare feet. How gauche.

I sort of feel sorry for the designers. Brian is still in love with doing his very best and understanding what is achieving with the finest quality. And then he quietly walks away. Yes there’s mountains of money and I’m sure he knows how to have fun. The wonderful thing is that we’ve all seen it on film, that’s eternal. And Juliet, the fussiest most impeccable details and quality must purvey. She learned a hard lesson with the gun inspector. But if you have lots of money, a Scrutinizer is Vital..... Listen to me, what do I know, this is all over my head. LOL

@@hansonel I don't think they know quality, they know dings. If you showed up to their house with a handmade silk velvet sofa or a real piece of old growth wood furniture they'd think it was crap because of the imperfections that are inherent in those materials. What's sad is that they're in London and he obviously wants opulence and rather than heading to Guinevere or John Hobbs or the other many fine shops the 'decorator' sells made in China crap, for probably the same $....All I can say is that I've obviously been doing it wrong for 30 years, educating my clients. lol

@@TheLouisnavarrete Agree, quality wasn't the right word to use. She was on the lookout for imperfections. Right? You should hawk that made in China stuff and maybe have a racy photo shoot to "show them you're on their level". Don't forget to put on some ABBA for when the Swiss come into the shop and break out the boxed wine :D

25:06 how much will it worth once the planet's temperature rises 1.5 or, God forbid, 2C degrees and the entire London goes underwater? One has to be in denial to say London real estate is the most secure place to put your money in the world. If I were them, I'd invest in green technologies, carbon-trapping, regenerative agriculture, and the other climate change mediating initiatives.
