Olive fruit is one of the ancient foods utilized for their fatty rich pulp as well as pressed "juice".
What are their health benefits and what's the difference between green olives and black olives? Learn about what we've found about the olive and its phenolic compounds like oleuropein, an often claimed beneficial nutrient. This was a good video. Unfortunately, you neglected to mention one aspect of the curing process, which is to eliminate the 'occupants' within a large percentage of the olives. Perhaps you could make mention of that in another video. The processing of olives in salt brine forces the olive fruit fly larvae from the olives. (just another good reason for not biting into a raw olive) That fact in itself was quite an eye opener for me when I learned of it. Cheers!

@@SuperfoodEvolution It was only this year that I had learned of this by watching one of the gardeners I'm subscribed to harvesting and curing them. I'm not sure if a link will work here, but I'll try to copy it here for you. Her name is Kaye Kittrell and she lives in Southern California. Her channel is called "Late Bloomer Urban Organic Garden Show". kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pbVkq5djy6fMmIk.html It was an interesting process.

Well, I eat raw olives ,naturally matured in the tree and only with a few days of final ripening under the sun. I did this for years now and there is no unexpected parasites whatsover and the taste is better than any processed olive. The richness and complexity of the taste are unbeatable.

I have read that they have a high amount of Lye. I can't remember if they rinse them in Lye or if they contain lye. Also, Crete is an island full of Olive trees and Athena was given a land full of Olive trees which I believe is about to be dimolished or maybe not. .... 😄 Olive leafs remind me of crowns as well as Laurel leafs. When dealing with hashimotos id dedinitely look at celery juicing and drinking 16 oz in the morning on an empty stomach. Anthony the medical medium has written several books and you will find tons of youtube testimonials of people feeling much better after using celery juice for hashimotos and much more! And I agree about all of the mushrooms. I might be totally crazy but I am in agreement that mushrooms could very well save our planet! Well, mushrooms and hemp together would dedinitely get the job done!

''Canned black olives are not black olives''. This isn't necessarily true. Well it is for the terrible pizza olives the narrator is refering to, but high quality pungent kalamata olives, which are always sold ripe or near ripe, can be bought in cans and it's not something to shy away from.
