Thank you for promoting natural tennessee walker gaits 🙏🏻 thank you for not brinning up abusive ”big lick”- gait or abusive tools! These are wonderful horses as they are and do not need invasive tools or soring in their feet. They are perfect just the way they are 💛🐎

Except they were at Thorsport. They are guilty of terrible soring practices. I found videos on KZfaq easily of Thorsports illegal practices & of the woman describing these beautiful horses in this video(her husband & her are the owners) admitting to soring practices in their establishment.

Big lick is a term for soring which has been HIGHLY illegal for over 50 years. What you see today is modern padded performance. Every horse in the show ring has been USDA inspected and approved with over 95% compliance rate. In an inspection, they check for illegal substances as well as shoeing and action device compliance. The pads are only 3-5 lbs, which is less than 1% of a 1,000 lb animal's body weight. The chains are only 6 oz. Please do research before saying what everyone else has.

They r purely wonderful. My cousin. Betty Faye Sain was the first woman and youngest owner, trainer, n rider to win the Celebration National Walking horse show n 1966. I was 5 years old and got to go Shakers Shocker 2 months after his win. I have been hooked on walkers ever since. I rehabilitate abused walkers that no one wants to mess with because they have bad attitudes. Everyone of them learned how to trust humans again and are all with good families now. Its a shame that ignorant people think that the big lick is beautiful. But if you have ever watched their natural gait it is the most fluid beautiful gait a horse can have.

Hi, I had a filly that was sired by Genius Boy Pride. If I'm correct, I am under the understanding that his dam was by Shakers Shocker and at the time back in the early 90's or so she was the top producing dam in the breed. He also had a brother that a women in Michigan owned. Where is your farm? I would like to contact you.

You should have stopped after your first paragraph. Your second paragraph is totally incorrect. Jackie McConnell never trained at ThorSport. ThorSport is located in Murfreesboro which is middle Tennessee. Jackie McConnell's barn was in West Tennessee half the state away. Like so many Internet Dunces you've combined things you've read but failed to comprehend and then posted it as a warning to other geniuses who have never been in a Walking Horse barn much less ever ridden one. In the process you have maligned ThorSport farm and the Walking Horse breed. I hope you are proud of yourself.

If you're looking for a trail horse....start with one's that DONT have WGC written all over their pedigree. Best advice I have been given in the horse game from a legend in the real walking horse world where they ride the Cadillac they bred, at its natural gait. No need to mess with perfection.

I absolutely love my Walkers! They're an amazing breed and are extremely gentle. Even though they are classified as "warm-blooded," most people would define them as "cold-blooded" due to how calm they are.

I had a Andalusian cross that used his head to propel his gait like you see here. People said "what's he doing?" But he seemed to be using his whole body to walk. He was a great horse in so many ways.

Now this is what should be the highest class show horse. No stacks, chains, or soring. Just calmly and smoothly riding. You did an amazing job!♥️ But I would be cautious of ThorSport however. It was a Big Lick barn. Whose trainer Jackie McConnell viciously beat and sored horses. And the owner did nothing about it. Just be careful.

@@imyourhuckleberry7069 you can deny it til the cows come home, those 2 horses demonstrating in the arena ( the grey and the bay) with a big head shaking walk ARE NOT NATURAL. Either you don't know any better, because you are lied to, or you lie yourself. I've been in the industry at big barn. I know it for a fact. I will give you a clue. Go look at the show horses in the barn, including the flat shod horses. If their legs are wrapped all the way down over the pasterns, they are being sored. They will lie about it and say oh no, that's just nice oil to keep the skin nice and smooth because the crazy inspection people will fail your horse if one hair is out of place. They are full of crap. I have been told by a well known trainer how they do it.

@@lisabaker9036 I can understand your frustration. In fact I admire it. But I'm going to specifically talk about the bay horse, he would be stepping much higher if he was sored. The head shake is a trait of the breed. I do know even flat Shod horses can be sored as well, but this specific horse has a low step. Meaning he wasn't sored.

@@staceyevans2315 ok, that's fine. I do have a walker that moves realy well with head shake. But to open up his stride more would take a little more effort on my part. Long foot at the correct angle and a heavy shoe might do it. But I will just settle for what I have as I do not show him.
