Watch as we build this deck surrounding an above ground pool. Video shows the process from the beginning to the end. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments!

Beautiful job. Interesting that the deck doesn't completely surround the pool yet it still looks extremely polished.

Wife and I got 3 different quotes and each contractor wanted to do the deck a different way. Bring deck over the pool, under the top rail, or up to it (couple inches away) What do you think is best?
@ThecuttingedgecarpentersАй бұрын
We usually do our pool texts flush with the top and leave about a 1/2” gap to be able to slip the cover through in the winter. Any bigger of a gap will be a hazard and any smaller and you won’t be able to fit the cover.

@@Thecuttingedgecarpenters wow only 1/2”? No worry about expansion?
@ThecuttingedgecarpentersАй бұрын
@@RagingRapids311 composite material will definitely expand but not a half inch especially if building in the summer. If building in the winter maybe leave 3/4” to be safe.

where did you get those ground anchors? seems much easier than pouring concrete
@Thecuttingedgecarpenters4 ай бұрын
We sub out to a company called Goliath Tech. They install the helical piles. Been a game changer for us, never going back to concrete.

@@Thecuttingedgecarpenters looking into the helical piles for my build out.. Do you guys have the list of materials used for this? looks like 6x6 posts and 2x12's for the support beams?

Is that trex or just painted wood?
@Thecuttingedgecarpenters Жыл бұрын
Yes, it is trex - foggy wharf

This looks more like a parking structure.. nice but seems very overkill.
