सुप्रीम कोर्ट में मंगलवार (20 अगस्त) को कोलकाता रेप-मर्डर मामले पर सुनवाई हुई. शीर्ष अदालत ने इस मामले पर स्वतः संज्ञान लिया है. सुनवाई के दौरान चीफ जस्टिस डीवाई चंद्रचूड़ ने मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी की सरकार से तीखे सवाल पूछे. चीफ जस्टिस ने राज्य सरकार की तरफ से पेश वरिष्ठ वकील कपिल सिब्बल से पूछा कि जब आरजी कर मेडिकल कॉलेज एंड हॉस्पिटल में तोड़फोड़ कर रही थी तो उस वक्त पुलिस क्या कर रही थी. ऐसे में आइए सुप्रीम कोर्ट में हुई सुनवाई से जुड़ी बड़ी बातें जानते हैं.
चीफ जस्टिस ने कहा कि कोलकाता रेप-मर्डर केस मामला गंभीर है, क्योंकि ये स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों की सुरक्षा से भी जुड़ा है. उन्होंने कहा कि महिला डॉक्टर के साथ हुए अपराध का पता चलने पर मेडिकल कॉलेज के पूर्व प्रिंसिपल डॉ संदीप घोष ने उसे आत्महत्या बताया. एफआईआर भी देर से की गई है.
जम्मू-कश्मीर में सितंबर में विधानसभा चुनाव होने वाले हैं. इसे लेकर शुक्रवार से आदर्श आचार संहिता लागू हो गई है. 2019 में आर्टिकल 370 हटने के बाद यहां पहली बार चुनाव होने वाले हैं. जम्मू-कश्मीर में 18 सितंबर से तीन चरणों में विधानसभा चुनाव कराने की घोषणा की गई है. नतीजों का ऐलान 4 अक्टूबर को किया जाएगा.
