Abraham Mazumder's Tagore in Symphony, 1st Part, Concert Curated & organized by Mr. Ranjon Ghoshal

Abraham Mazumder is one of the most eminent European Classical musician/Conductor in India. He is also Associate and Licentiate of the Trinity College of Music, London. And, quite differently to the classical music, has also been one of the founding members of Mohiner Ghoraguli, the first ever Bengali rock band of India.
The composer and conductor Maestro Abraham Mazumder scored a symphony on Tagore’s songs which was premiered in November 2007 with a 78-member symphony orchestra at Science City Auditorium in Kolkata, India. This concert was organized & curated by Mr. Ranjon Ghoshal.
In April 2012, Maestro Mazumder has conducted the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and the Odeon Youth Symphony Orchestra in Germany to perform Tagore in Symphony.

I believe that in addition to the chorus and the orchestra, the conductor has his/her own performance. The conductor's humility but vibrance in conducting is truly commendable. There is a liveliness and sincerity which brings the entire symphony together. I wish I could see more of this in Kolkata.

This is the Abraham I know- Innovative, Inspirational,Experimental as always and a Wonderful Conductor & Musician par Excellence. He brought out the Music in my son.

I heard Mozart, Betovan in different orchestra in my college life. Now, I feel that India must have her own orchestra. Rabindra tagore songs can be the orchestra songs. That orchestra must be instrumental not having any vocal bos if vocal blends with instruments, the instrumental sound overlaps by vocal tone. I am very pleased after seeing this.Jai Hind.

Wonderful. I just wish the crowd really appreciated the effort and rewarded the artists with a resounding applause. Certainly you cannot be that lazy not to clap.

আমি একবার ইউরোপিয়ান অপেরা attend করেছিলাম ইতালিতে।যখন অপেরা শুনছিলাম তখন মনে হয়ে ছিলো এই অপেরার sathe যদি "মম চিত্তে নৃতে নৃত্যে" গানটা যদি গাওয়া যায়,তাহলে ভারতীয়রা আর ইটালিয়ান রা সবাই খুব উপভোগ করবে।

Lopamudra Mitra should have sung the song with this orchestra , she has the matching voice and spirit. These vocal singer are alright but their gayaki and voice are trained for singing with esraj harmonium tabla not with this sound of music.

Excellent as was not like ever heard earlier. To specifically mention that conductor himself giben tremendous performance, but sorry to say singers were not upto the mark as these songs demands more dedication. However we are waiting to see more such presentation.
