The fact that Smasher is so heavily armored that anti-personnel grenades don’t even dent him is hilarious and makes perfect sense. He’s basically a walking tank, so why would a grenade designed to shred flesh and bone hurt him?

In 2.0, grenades are now charge based rather than a consumable, so that's nice. Now this challenge is much more doable, and definitely a lot more fun. You do sort of lose the ability to just spam them everywhere though. Grenades also have many ways to directly increase their damage, and even explosion radius. Also you definitely had one grenade during Johnny's segment at the start. It was just a really, really, really big grenade. And you did use it.

It's actually insane how different the game experience can be, you had a bunch of pretty visible bug quite early, when I haven't seen once in weeks on my side

I've always loved grenades, and almost always use a ton of them, regardless of my build. I especially love using them on my current pistol focused build. Dude is hiding behind a corner? Just lob a grenade past the corner and shoot it mid flight. As far as I can tell, it ups the explosive area and the damage. The dude definitely feels it.

I've just been getting back into the game, I don't have as many hours as you but my last run was a stealth pacifist run where I didn't kill anyone except for the scripted scenes and stuff. Super fun, love the challenges!

I had an idea sort of as an open challenge to the comments section: the _Anime Accurate Cyberpsycho Run._ Sounds simple, right? Chromed up the ass, armed to the teeth, you versus Night City? Not so fast, choom. Here's what balances it out. 1: You are disallowed from retreating from fights, refusing fights, or using cover unless forced to by scripting. You have to barge in through the front door of all confrontations and are disallowed from using stealth. You _must_ emulate the full frontal assaults seen in Edgerunners. 2: You may only pick the weapons you start any fight with, and must use them until the magazine runs dry. 3: No reloading, ever, and any weapons you pick up in the middle of a fight, you must drop if you empty the magazine, or stop using them for a moment or two. You want to reload, you need to loot a weapon off a guy. 4: Looted weapons only. You do get to pick what three weapons you want to take with you into a slip back into cyber psychosis, but that's it. 5: Arm cyberware is only to be used after running out the mags on at least two of your three allowed starting weapons per rampage. This goes for other melee weaponry, too.

Honestly, this grenade only playthrough might be the most entertaining run. Seriously considering doing this myself since it looks so fun lol

I always liked how the grenades in this game weren't one shot, were more of a way to apply status effects or kick off a fight in a fun way. Throwing a grenade into a cluster of unaware enemies before using sandevistan is a blast (no pun intended)

IF you did the Corpo path you could of just used the money that you get to preform the hit to buy all the food in the vendors as it does not take the items you have only the money you have, that way you could of had a lot more grenades at the start

Entertaining challenge, but the reason it's easier than the others is that being a grenadier is one of the intended combat styles.

The qiant mk 4 is 12 sec for 25% time with 15 cool down. You can get the cool down to 2 seconds.

Lost my shit when sniper #3 blew himself up. I had that happen on my last playthrough. I went to go make a sandwich without pausing and eventually he aggroed right as I got back. I watched him dodge to the right and the window just blew out 😭😂

started playing this again thanks to all the edge runner vids dropping in my suggested. i followed dex after the meet and he drives to one of the drop points for another side mission then just sits there.

This is pretty much how I play the game normally! Albeit with a shotgun for picking off solitary enemies. Very satisfying :D

Cyberpunk is just awesome man, I remember cars crashing to one another because of my sheer presence while walking in the street in Japantown.

be kinda neat to see a quickhack only run, unsure how easy or difficult it would be but it was for sure one of the most interesting mechanics of the game to me.

It's perfectly possible to tank through the first forced pistol vehicle combat bit, with the van after the Dorset saving mission. I even managed to do it on a run without ever using a healing item (but I did begin with 6 body). Here's the trick. If you're hanging out the window of the car and look down and away from them, it makes their bullets really likely to hit the car instead of you. It's like cover. You take a few hits but not nearly enough to kill you. If you're doing a run where you can use healing items and with all the opportunity after that to build tankily, you can probably do all of the car combat sections without shooting anything. Probably. Not tested. I did try for that on my no-heal run but the one after Arasaka Tower was too rough to survive it. I didn't have all the levels and cyberware possible by then though so maybe if you did that? However the best 'exploit' would probably be to just allow yourself to use healing inhalers like you're meant to.

I'm interested to see how this challenge has changed in 2.0, now that grenades recharge, but you can only have 2.

-game wants you to give up your weapons -first store them in the stash in the back of your bike -give up your weapons -get them out of your bike It probably doesn't work in all scenarios where you have to give up your weapons, but I did it on a few missions a couple weeks ago and it worked fine.

This playstyle makes for a fun build if you add some (shot)guns to blow up grenades mid-air :D

Hey there's this guy in pasifica that has a very powerful legendary iconic Sandi that reduces time to 10% for 6 seconds with a quick cool down time just in case you wanted a legendary iconic variant

turning on sandy and throwing nades into a crowd is my fav pastime in cyberpunk 2077 :)

One of my fav combos in this game is a Sandy and a pile of grenades. You can get upwards of 10 grenades sitting under some guys feet while in slowmo, and they'll det eachother for massive damage

haven't seen a "fully drunk, all the time" run yet. Where you have to constantly drink and keep the camera shifty and wavey for the entire game. (Basically keeping the alcohol debuff, active at all times)
