✨ About Always Away:
We are Dominic and Emma. Travelling together as a couple for the last 10 years, we started off backpacking through South East Asia and in 2016 began vanlife as a means to travel with our pug, Percy. Since then, we have slowly been upgrading; from our first self-build micro-camper Renault Kangoo to our Mercedes Sprinter LWB, and now our Fiat Ducato Hymer Swing Motorhome. Vanlife allows us to not only travel with our dog, but experience travelling through places and enjoying the journey, not just the destination. We are advocates for not allowing financial circumstance to be a barrier to travel. Instead we know there is Always Away!

The abandoned/untouched villages thing is quite strange to me. I've heard over the years how Japan has been "running out of land" and stories of how they're creating man-made islands, and so on. But then through all of the KZfaq videos I've found out there is plenty of land, that villages and towns used to be on, but people have just left..

Sweden is also very beautiful, but Norway is honestly amazing. But it has a ton of mountains and fjords, so it can take a while to drive through it all. So if you want to go to the most northern spot in Norway, maybe drive up through Sweden for an easier drive?

If you do want to go to Northern Norway I'd recommend Tromsø, it's really beautiful and there's some amazing mountains and glaciers you can hike around there! ☺ It's also very close to Finland if you want to cross the boarder and visit there too!

Excellent vid. I would definitely be down to see vids of Norway or Switzerland. I would love to move over to Europe, but with no degree it would probably be impossible. Question for Chris.... Maybe a short documentary on the state of Japan's rural countryside due to a declining population and people in general moving to Tokyo.

Ooh that'd be a cool documentary! I'd love to watch something on that after seeing so many abandoned villages.

I'm already in Europe and I would want to see that too 🙂 (I have already been to Switzerland though when I was a kid, it's a great place, but my guess is as an adult I'd have a different way of looking at it)

Emma, you want to watch the Ingham family they went to the furthest point of Norway. It was so beautiful. I would love to go myself if I win the lottery. Great Q&A love from Essex UK X

A great relatioship. Lord knows I don’t get on with my sister so well. We’d never be able to make it through a q&a for so long.

Same age gap as my sister and I. (Also from UK) It's a big gap when young, but nice that as you get older you become closer. Would be nice to see more from you both together 😊

Same here, after a bumpy start we actually got to get along as siblings. Older brothers have to be annoying so you can take on the world! Even after all those years...didn't know his little sister did some great edits etc!
