There’s a course in JCPS schools called Developing Black Historical Consciousness that is based on CRT and antiracism that uses the fundamental concepts in CRT (interest convergence, intersectionality, anti-essentialism, race is social construct, racism is normal, systemic racism exists, is opposed to color blindness liberalism, counternarratives and standpoint epistemology) with references to Delgado and Bell, along with antiracism readings from Ibram Kendi. It teaches that assimilation is cultural genocide, that white supremacy still operates as law of the land, and if you’re not actively fighting systemic racism (antiracist) then you’re a racist. It teaches multiple black histories and is opposed to what it calls “white epistemic logic” that “situates history as just that, history, and not the multiple histories that help develop a historical consciousness.” It also teaches “for teachers, especially white teachers, antiracist approaches challenge historical positions, largely rooted in Eurocentrisities that serve to reinforce the racial status quo, ie ‘neutrality,’ ‘color-blindness,’ improving race relations follow a linear progression over time, and a failure to acknowledge the pervasiveness and oppressiveness of white supremacy.” I think it’s an elective class for high school students. But it exists. And it’s out there.

I'm a teacher and I'd never heard of Critical Race Theory. I bought the book to see what the problem is. After reading the book, their is NO WAY any K-12, public school teacher is teaching CRT. It is doctorial level reading.

Which of those unify and which would be divisive without exception?
