Nice overview, Taylor! Thanks! BTW, that Batman TAS looking cover from the TPB was first used for the collected editions published in Nov 1986 (TPB) and Dec 1986 (HC)

Thanks for watching! And thanks for the info! I've always wanted one of the first printings of Watchmen TPBs... maybe I will add TDKR too! haha. I think first TDKR TPB had an intro from Alan Moore that hasn't ever been collected anywhere else too.

I see a few Amazon reviews of people complaining about the shiny, cheap cover. I wonder if the new one will be the same or whether it will be a proper cloth cover?

The dust jacket? Or the book itself? Either way I feel like they are fine and wouldn't describe them as "cheap." And I can almost guarantee the new printing will be exactly the same. Rarely does DC change much in a reprint like this.

@@TaylorTalksComics DKR is a classic and will remain one of the greatest graphic novels of all time. DK2 is not good at all. They keep reprinting this omni and insist of having both of them together, might as well throw in the last crusade prequel maybe even Superman Year One? I’d rather they do a cool printing of the DKR that is in the same vein as Batman Year One. Two different versions one old school one new printing.
