The road has not been easy for “Dance Mom’s” star Abby Lee Miller. After completing her prison sentence last year, the famed dance instructor was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But if anything, Abby has proven she is a fighter and is not ready to hang up the dance shoes. The new season of Dance Moms follows Abby as she rebuilds her dance company while battling the after-effects of cancer that has left her confined to a wheelchair. Abby is ready to get back to her life and do what she loves most…teaching students to dance! With the goal of putting her life, health and dance studio back together, Abby returns to where it all began - the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh.
Dance Moms follows children's early steps on the road to stardom along with their doting mothers all under Abby Lee Miller's discerning eyes. Presenting a powerful cast of characters, the show immerses itself in the highs and lows surrounding dance competition season, delivering a captivating and dramatic look at the cast's intense pursuit of National Dance titles. Centered on the devoted Miller, who runs Abby Lee Dance Company with an iron tap shoe as she instructs her young, talented students while also dealing with impassioned mothers who go to great lengths to help their children's dreams come true, Dance Moms is about what really goes on behind-the-scenes in the fast-growing and controversial sport of competitive dance.

Holly was always my favortie, and a huge inspiration to me. Shes the kind of parent i want to be: Involved and Caring in her kids life, doesnt hold Nias emotions against her (unlike some parents in my life i know;-;) and she allows Nia to explore her true self and thrive and it shows. Both are very intelligent, strong women.

I love how Holly and Jess are always defending each other or fighting for/alongside each other whenever an argument sprouts. For example, during the part where Jill was accusing Holly of "changing" because of Hollywood and job opportunities for Nia, Jess joined the argument and tried to explain Holly's point about how schooling and working can be balanced out. They both were the only ones who didn't stand up and act like big sore losers during the Season 5 Nationals Drama as well.

@@kellymcquay2626 Microaggression is a term used for commonplace daily verbal, behavioral or environmental slights, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative attitudes toward stigmatized or culturally marginalized groups. An example of this is I had a professor reading with is back to us off the board and the slide said “people or colour have a high impoverishment rate” and then turned around and made eye contact with me, and I was the only person of colour in the room😐

By the way white people have a higher poverty rate than any other race.

Watching the reunion with the dancers at the end was like a breath of fresh air. They are such remarkable kids, so well-mannered, humble, and kind. I can’t believe that they all come from the same women we saw screaming at each other for the first 15 minutes of the video.

It was very rude for Abby to make all the girls walk out when they had one more award left and say the competition was rigged but at the same time they definitely should have won in my opinion. The Waiting Room was an amazing work of art and it should have won.
