*COLUMBIA --- THE NATION* *--- Jennifer Saunders*

When I first saw this show it was a bit hard to understand the dialogue and the way brits say things. That's okay. I started watching it again and it got better. Fantastic show and the writing and acting were superb. I don't think there's enough said about the approach and achieving their slapstick in the show. When Eddy goes down those step in the house to the kitchen is just hilarious. Wish they would've made more.

What you are hearing 'IS' how the English language is correctly spoken. You can always slow the speed on the speech on here... or go back to school. Elementary school.

If i didn't love Jennifer Saunders as much as I do, I would've taken offense to her answer "Colombia" hehehehehe
@survivor6485 жыл бұрын
J.J. By the look on her face and how quickly she corrected herself I think she realized it unlike Edina I think Jen tries hard to be gracious about everything.
@filipzawistowski43904 жыл бұрын
@@survivor648 what's offensive about that answer? There's a stereotype that Colombia makes a lot of cocaine, it's nothing personal against the country, it's just a reference to a stereotype 🤣

What i truly hated about this movie as someone who knows abfab from the series which i used to watch live on tv in the uk as a kid, is the complete lack of smart dialogues for Saffie and Bubble. It is like they were unimportant characters in the film , while in the series, they are so important. They are Cameos who have more lines than Saffie, Bubble and Mother put together. Also, i don't know if Jen is not as edgy as she used to be or they asked her to remove some parts of the scripts, but the series were brutal, so subject was taboo, no joke was too risky, it was the real deal, but the film, 25 years after the series is like a My little pony version of the series. For these two reasons i left the cinema, thinking i should have waited and watched it on line later on, at least it would have saved me the effort and the money wasted on getting my little gay ass to the theater, because that was disappointing. Also as someone lucky enough to count Julia as a friend, i must say that i heard stuff (not from her but from people around her) which i found really shitty about the way some of the original cast members were basically treated as extras , while the cameos received the royal treatment, with the same discrepancy in the wages. I even heard that Kathy and Dawn herself were quite pissed off. And to piss off sweethearts like Kathy and Dawn, you have got to really push it. And all these interviews of Jen and Joanna always together and never with June, Julia and Jane sorts of confirms that what i've heard might be quite accurate. The series were never about just Eddie and Patsy, but the movie is all about them, even the poster of the film is just them, and not a single promo of the while cast together. We are really far from the original series, which made the show so famous and important, and if there is an AfFab 2 which i will not go to see in theaters anyway, it better be exceptionally good and way closer to the series, or it will forever destroy the image we had of the series. But anyway i doubt Julia and Kathy will agree to be part of it this time, and with June sadly gone it is very unlikely that there will be a second act, and if there is, chances are, it will become an even bigger fiasco than the first one.

We do say daft and cow here, but i think you have to be over 40. Sorry to say, we are losing a lot of our language. I have to dummy it down at work when speaking with boss.

This interviewer sucks. It was almost like he didn't listen to them, and rather than building off their responses, he just went on to the next pre determined question.
