If he'd be Orthodox, no reason to leave Rome with Papal States when you already own all of Italy. 30% admin efficiency from tech, 30% from absolutism, 5% for Alhambra, 5% from military hegemony, 5% from german ideas, 5% from german missions, 5% from prussian missions. Total 85%. The admin efficiency in this patch is insane and should be nerfed.

@@kesorangutan6170 use trade map, follow the arrows how they go, usually they go south to north, so if you want ro transfer trade power you want to do it from southern trade node to northern, some trade goods will become much more valuable (fur for example) some will become irrelevant (fish) and some will be overpowered for some time only (spices for example), then there are ships which protect your trade power in the node they are put on a mission (increased with merchant navy doctrine and flagship) the more trade power you have in each node the more ducats you get, also its important to note that trade goes hand to hand with production

In the game it's a mechanic that provides linearly scaling bonuses to Administrative Efficiency, Discipline, and less importantly how long foreign cores remain in your provinces. At 100 it's 30% AE, 5% Discipline, and 50% foreign core duration. The Discipline is nice, but what allows this is the Admin Efficiency, which reduces province war score cost, overextension, core creation cost, and aggressive expansion. Because of the way it's implemented, 90% AE (the cap) means you can take 10x as much land as with 0% AE. And Prussia/Germany get a lot of bonuses to keep high absolutism and high AE. Sorry for the essay, but you did ask.

You unlock absolutism in the third age (around 1610), before that it doesn't exist Max absolutism can increased or decreased by lots of things but mainly reduced by giving estate privileges, low government crown land or by being one of many republic types The easiest ways to get current absolutism to go up over time is having over 60 percent crown land or picking the a third age era ability. You can one off increase absolutism by reducing autonomy, strengthening government, increasing stability or using harsh treatment on rebels. English Monarchy also has low max absolutism (and loses current absolutism by giving parliament seats) and there's a disaster called court and country that can increase your max absolutism by quite a lot
