In this video, I create an abstract painting on 4 canvases.
The total measures 160x60cm.
To make this painting, I used acrylic paint and acrylic spray paint.
As tools, I used a spalter brush, a scraper and masking tape.

This is a really good one! I love the bright colors you create! Plus a good mix of light and dark. I wish the 3M painters tape hadn't betrayed me recently lol. I tried to do the same kind of thing John does, but around the edges the paint would bleed through instead of there being even, clean lines so then I had to paint over the edges with the background color and didn't remember well enough what I had mixed to make the background colors..ugh. I'm going to just draw lines with a ruler and charcoal then just paint inside the lines from now on.

Get frog tape (especially the kind for outdoor use). Stay away from normal painters tape. There's also "sharp lines" tape which I've had mixed success with. Always make sure the tape is properly adhered to the surface on the canvas. Basically just rub the tape in good on the edges. Lastly, in a situation where you know it might be a problem (such as bad tape or a ton of really thin paint being used) you can always go over the tape with a clear medium first. That way, if it does bleed under the edges, it will be clear and not a color.

@@slippinjimmy897 well I did always make sure to rub in the tape when I'd put it on the canvas and even double layered it one time and that made no difference. I'll look up frog tape though. Thanks!

Toujours aussi hallucinantes vos créations.... Petite question : quels sont vos temps de séchage entre chaque ajout de nouvelle matière ou idée car vos reposer souvent du scotch de masquage sur vos toiles... Et la peinture n'a pas l'air de coller quand vous l'enlevez Merci
