I am a 68 year old female and just "discovered" you on youtube about 2 days ago. I have since watched many, many of your videos. Wow! Your work is amazing! I always appreciate your candor when it comes to projects you are not pleased with, showing what you did not like and how you fixed it or taking something apart completely. If I had not seen the side by side comparison, I would have thought your original was OK, but seeing the changes you made really made a difference! What a fabulous line-up, I think it may have been one of the biggest and certainly one of the most colorful and varied, obviously mosaic appealed to everyone in a big way. I was surprised to see my 'missing' project from July featured! It really wasn't neccessary but I appreciate it, I only see my projects in pictures on my phone and seeing it in a large format on my TV really looked so much better than I had thought it did. REALLY excited about September, I already have my project figured out. 😀

Thanks so much ChrisAnn for your lovely comment. I am glad you agree with my changes. If something I make bugs me in some way, I have to fix it ,otherwise it drives me nuts. LOL I agree that the line up was really fun and inspiring. : )

The mosaic theme of the challenge last month was very very interesting. I actually had something in mind but couldn't finish it. Thanks to my toddler son. Your work is obviously good but loved the work of all the participants too. Mosiac does gives chance to bring in different kind of materials together in assemblage projects. I like how everyone tries and involves. How everyone are inspired.

Hi, Ina! I watched last night but ran out of power as I was typing to you. 60% tonight. I 💕 your mosaic. It’s retro! Everybody was making mosaics back in the 1960’s. Lots of ash trays, trivets, decorative plates, and some wall art with crushed up stones. I bought a vintage, decorative mosaic plate just last week. Your viewers made some wonderful art. It was all excellent! Very excellent!

Thank you so very much Mara. I am very pleased that you enjoyed this mosaic project. You are right...mosaic designs were in style back then. Mine is very basic ,but there are many awesome artists today, that take this technique to new heights. I love that it is suitable for outdoors and that it can last "forever". Well.. nothing is forever, but ......the old romans left us some lovely pieces. Glad you enjoyed the line up. Take care. : )

Beautiful mosaic! I love the colors you used and the changes you made. These circles look so much better...good idea!And I like the variations in texture, it makes it very much alive. Quite a challenge this month indeed, but you've made a wonderful piece. Beautiful line-up too, very inspiring. Great video Ina, thank you!

Beautiful mosaic, especially like the idea of the clear glue instead of grout. I have done several mosaics, over time but don't like grouting, I am eager to try it and compare to resin, thanks

Thank you so much George. Yes, give that glue a try. You can apply it even thicker than I did, for a more resin look. It just takes awhile to cure and gets very solid. It does not harden as strong as resin, so no good for stuff that get used a lot, table tops etc. but for art mosaics it seems to work really well. Not sure how it behaves outdoors. : )

Your mosaic was fabulous! I see why you changed up your design. The new one was more consistent in that all the shapes were circles (or parts of circles) and felt more put together. I noticed you were using that Elmer's glue and wondered how it did. So, I'm glad you mentioned it. Thank you! As for September's challenge. I'm excited and already have an inkling of an eye-dea (idea 😂). I've got quite the collection of eyes from magazines, and that should help for sure. Thanks so much for this inspiration, Ina. I'm looking forward to it!

As I said ,if the whole things was much bigger, I could have added different shapes and lines, but for this relatively small mosaic, simple was the way to go .Happy to hear that you are already planning for the next challenge, I look forward to seeing what you come up with. : )
