Hey Friends!!!
I decided to talk a little in this commentary about some of my thoughts. I hope you don't mind.
I used a 24x30 inch canvas for this painting.
The texture was created with modeling paste and beach sand.
I used acrylic paint, spray paint and acrylic ink.
Main colors were:
Burnt Sienna
Burnt Umber
Raw Sienna
Cobalt Turquoise
Titanium White
Patina
Paynes Gray
Pthalo Green
Yellow Ochre
Tools:
Sea Sponge
Brushes
Palette Knives
Paper Towels
Spray bottle w/ water
Fingers

I used to draw people with chicken wings for arms...so, an abstract expressionist at the age of 9 was born😅. I don't know when it happened, but I noticed I started hating everything I did, artistically, creatively, life-wise--it all soured on me. I don't know if I'm kinder to myself now, but it's better than it was. I love your videos, your message, and your artistic voice Lydia 🙂.

Another beautiful painting and great video. The depth of your work is magnificant! I loved your journey! My mother was so great at creating drawings of people that I would not go that direction because I could never be that good. I wonder often why I let perfection and self judging get in the way of creating. Art should only be my place to slip away and relax. Today you reminded me of that! Have a great day and thanks.
