I just beat Silent A20 heart for the first time! I took some damage from the whale to take a rare colorless card and took Sadistic Nature. I fully believed it was a lost run. First card reward: unironic Sucker Punch. Then an unironic Poison Stab. This deck was looking sick! (/sarcasm). But... it was working. My card reward after the first boss? Envenom. Hey... then Pandora's Box which was basically every card I could ever want plus one more Envenom. The end deck was loads and loads of powers (1x Sadistic Nature, 1x Accuracy, 1x Footwork, 2x Well Laid Plans [both from Pandora], 2x After Image, 2x Envenom) and then card draw and defensive cards (3x Leg Sweep [1 from act 1, 2 from Pandora], 2x Cloak and Daggers, 2x Defensive Wails) and the aforementioned couple of attack cards. I still can't believe it worked as well as it did. Best Silent Deck ever? No, but a meme deck that eeked out a heart victory on A20, so I'll take it! lol

I'd like to think adding Wrath to the deck is lore accurate Silent when a single stack of Artifact kills her combo, much to her infuriation.

I love how Baalor's brain has grasped most of the complexity space of each class's own card pool, so when he sees a prismatic shard his eyes light up, as he knows it will add unseen variety and deck building challenges to the run.

I've been pondering ways to rebalance The Silent's starter deck... what do you think of these couple of ideas? The first obvious idea is to simply remove 1 Strike and 1 Defend. My second idea is to replace 1 Strike with 1 Flying Knee and replace 1 Defend with 1 Dodge and Roll. The reasoning behind this is to encourage using the cards with "next turn" effects that could be a powerful archetype.

Just voicing my feedback that the midroll ad for your own channel feels annoying. It’s an interesting idea, but just don’t like the execution. However I am curious about how these channels survive. I’m sure having an audience that pretty much revolves around one game has got to feel very insecure as a content creator. Okay. I’m going to use this opportunity to rant I guess. I tackle my market from so many different angles. I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but it’s just how my brain works. I got too restless sticking to just one thing. It’s honestly really bad for me though. I got a market that I reliably get 15%-30% investment cost on, so I pretty much know I get that much money for my labor back. It’s SO stressful though. My numbers will be like 70%, and then ONE job brings it to 30% for the cycle. That is just so stressful. It’s like I’m 800$ down, and I just get one job that brings me any chance of a return. It feels so bad. See 50$, 100$, 50$, 50$, dead job, dead job, dead job. Oh that’s a live one! Then a week later nope I guess it was just a ghost. Man it’s so stressful, and then finding that one real person actually looking for work to be done in the sea of dead jobs. It’s so stressful! Even if my numbers consistently hit 30% for the worst platform and 15-20% for the good platforms, that stress of sticking to that market is just killer! However I know if I develop the market right, do search campaigns, build the brand, I know I can pretty much get rid of those sea of dead jobs and get way more efficient returns, or well. I don’t know. There’s a way that I can handle the stress way better through effective marketing and good procedure. It’s tough though, and some platforms are just no seeming like it’s worth it because they run way closer to 30% and are way more dependent on like one job working out where other platforms are a lot more consistent with the small jobs, closer to 15-20% and I can still pull some massive jobs from them just randomly. The problem is they are slower paced, so there’s that, but honestly it’s better quality, so it’s worth it. However, do I stick with this style that I pretty much know the science? Instead, I just want to do different styles. I want to try networking, so I put a bunch of money to get into that side of things. I want to try bidding, so I put a bunch of money into that. I’m trying all these different things instead of sticking to something that I know gets me good returns. I don’t know why I out myself through this, but I just like to feel the thrill of not knowing what I am doing. I love it! And all the while people are out here giving me reviews like “He’s very professional and knowledgeable.” I don’t know about that, but I guess when it comes to the actual job, I guess I kind of have that down. But I actually even take on jobs that are always edge cases. Things I’ve never done before. Man. I just don’t know why I do this to myself. I push it way to the edge. I just love the tension. I love being broke and having my survival rely on jobs where I am at the edges of my experience. On day I gotta be more normal, or maybe I’ll just fail with the business entirely and go be a corporate slave. I’m preparing for both outcomes, but for now this living on the edge stuff is just testing my sanity. Okay. I’ll go back to watching now. The mid roll distracted me.
