How is the lead (Pb) supposed to react with citric acid when sulfuric acid(H2SO4) is the main acid. Most likely only the water from lemon had to be replenished.

Doesn't really matter. Still shows the right number ...just has a minus in front. I notice folks who use multimeters a lot do that for convenience.

Distilled water will not help for dry cell batteries , you can add distilled water and charge but charge will drop immediately this guy video wrong

lemon does not play any role is like you would have water. It can charge but has no power can not give amps. Only small loads .... Tested many times

The citric acid in the lemon s the electrolight. It works on simple can batteries as well. But its a short time fix. The batteries found from ancient Egypt used this process.

Please don't make fool people, in start you are connecting negative to positive & positive to negative, after poring lemon drops you are connecting +to+, and -to-. One thing more the battery was 6V, after making fool your AMP meter showing 12V, how its possible, It's not fare.

It does not matter, voltage on volt meter will show the same volts with the exception that if you have them reversed there will be a minus sign in front of voltage

Dumb it reads negative because when he used the multi meter to test he used the red on black and black on red which false reads . Then matched colors on other battery. So easier terms he used the positive rod on the negative side and negative rod on the positive to test black battery then used positive with positive , negative with negative .. Atleast if ur going to bs people make it a little more believable or learn proper way to use meter .and use gloves for safety .

@@ABTabi yes but when u are showing someone something that diesnt know anything about a multi meter it would be helpful to them if shown the correct way to do it . as someone not familiar with it and the reading might freak and wonder how its possible that it is reading a negative number. I just stated why it was reading a negative number at first . as wellas anyone messing with anything having to do with battery acid should be wearing safety gloves as a lot of people dont understamd how bad it can burn them .

Has this happened to you? I had these old batteries stored in my garage and my wife's junk drawer and I thought they were garbage.
