I’ve been following Eileen for years and it’s so beautiful to see how she progressed and has become a strong woman. It’s also such an emotional yet beautifully spoken conversation. Anas has a way to ask questions respectfully and it’s never boring.

I love how much Eileen and Haytham respect each other. You can truly see that they are a team and that they lead each other, while still staying true to themselves. It's rare and beautiful to see.

I haven’t finished the interview yet, but just wanted to comment that Haytham wanting to be involved in Eileen healing from PPD is so honorable, and to see it as a family decision I can see how the western world just makes it a mom problem alone, but I really like that he insisted on being involved and on board, although it does seem like a tricky situation I really appreciate it.

May Allah grant us a marriage like them. May their respect and love for one another flourish. May they be the happiest ever. May Allah reunite them in Jannah with their baby. Ameen, ameen, ameen.

I was going through a rough time in life and I remember opening Instagram only to see Eileen share that they've lost their child. It was heartbreaking. I attended one of the dua circle that was held to make dua for them both to ease this trial. Dealing with my own trial at the time and seeing how they handled theirs, was a reminder that everything belongs to Allah. Then the following Ramadan, I had a dream about Eileen and Haytham, and in the dream, Eileen mentioned being pregnant. SubhanAllah, a few days later she announced on Instagram that she wasn't fasting due to pregnancy. To say I was happy for them would be an understatement. Whenever I see a post of Eileen, my mind automatically thinks of making dua to Allah to protect her and her family. Eileen may you continue to shine and may you and your whole family reunite in Jannah.

Anas, you should have asked Eileen privately before the episode is she feels comfortable shaking your hand. Placing her on the spot in that manner was not only inappropriate but also disregarded religious considerations. Given your deep-rooted familiarity with Islam and your upbringing, you of all people should have been sensitive to this matter.

Rewatching for the second time and started bawling 😭🥺 Dealing with a loss and depression and of silent battles. I love that "gratitude and grief can go hand in hand".

Thank you for speaking about Postpartum Depression. People should talk about it more often. It’s unfortunate in our society and culture people don’t take it seriously. I went through it for almost 2 years. It took me 2 years to get back to myself. I didn’t know I was going through it until my kid was almost a year. I just had my second kid and I’m dealing with it so much better el hamdulilah.

I've been following you for years on Instagram. I can't believe how proud I am of you and how far you've come. You are always inspiring me to become a better Muslim. I was born Muslim, but you taught me so much about Islam because of the way you look at things. Your curiosity leads you to great meanings in the Quran, and sometimes you share them with us, and it's always come as a wake-up call to me. I enjoyed this episode so much. You don't talk about your private life, so knowing a little bit more about you seems like a gift for me. Thank you so much, and I wish you all the best in your life.

I love Eileen so much, I have been following her for almost 10 years and honestly keep her in my dua. My heart breaks when she is hurt and I am so happy when I see good things for her. She is a special sister and great example for us, thank you for sharing her interview!

I have been following Eileen on Instagram for years and years. At this point, it feels like she's a close friend. As a convert to Islam, she has helped guide me. As someone without Muslim family and having depression, she has spoken words that only those in that situation could understand. I deeply appreciate her transparency throughout her life: trials, tribulations, elations, love, friendship, family, etc. I have been looking forward to watching this and I am so glad I put time aside to do so. I literally took notes because of how much of what was said resonated with me and with my marriage. Alhamdulillah for Eileen and Haytham. Ma'sha'Allah. May God bless both of you and Lily always.

When Eileen said this minute 21:53 I was very happy that there was a person like me who felt belonging to a virtual place, and then he found belonging in reality. I feel belonging to the social media, expressing my different ideas, plans, and everything I like to talk about, because my family did not give me this belonging and did not listen to my ideas because they see me as just a superficial girl, and I have always wanted to express ideas in a free way without fear and shame of being mocked. I first heard about eslimah from youtube when she was talking about her journey to Islam and since then I followed her because I thought to myself what a strong women mashallah fast forward to when she announced that she’s pregnant I was literally so excited as if she is my sister and when I first opened instagram and saw the pink picture and reading the caption about the baby passing away I started sobbing and prayed that she’ll be able to handle this huge test and literally kept crying every time I saw anything related to baby sarah, then when haytham had COVID and she was going with so many hardships I literally kept on crying and even talked to my mom about her and how she’s going through so much and how much am worried about her and why this is all happening and its not fair and praying that she’ll have saber to handle all this and then seeing her handling all this and becoming stronger she made me realize the biggest lesson in life that no matter what happens life will go on and that we should have faith and saber and that we have allah by our side no matter how hard the test is.

I have been so excited about this episode. I literally cleared my schedule for it. ❤❤❤

This is such a beautiful watch! I’ve followed Eileen religiously and I appreciate her in so many ways than just one; I feel even more connected to her due to our experiences (miscarriage + PPD). I would 100% agree on how there is low to zero information on any of these topics. One is not even aware let alone be prepared! I hope people find solace in your experiences and it helps them navigate these difficult tests of life. Aameen! Lots of love and dua from my end to both of you and Lily ❤️

This was such a deep interview it really had me deeping and evaluating a lot of my decisions whew!!! It also left me in awe how Eileen and Haytham appear so different but respect each other’s opinions. There was a moment I could see Eileen’s expression and notice she doesn’t share the same view but just calm and respectful. It’s shocking and humbling how two people can be so different yet make it work. May Allah grant them both a lifetime of happiness and health together with Lily amin.
