For ease of doing business, embassies and high commissions need to be in the federal capital! Lagos is no longer Nigeria’s capital! Although some countries have retained there former embassy buildings as consulates, and indeed some of these consulates can still renew passports for their citizens living in Lagos, as well as issue visas to Nigerians wishing to visit their countries!

Abuja I will have you know, is part of our Federal Capital Territory! Abuja itself is 1,476 km ,while the entire area which we refer to as the FCT, and which is still being built to be one entity is 7,315km. Not exactly a village by anyone's standards!
