Even if they did the nazi salute, the anime wouldn't be banned in germany, because it counts as art, and as long as nazi stuff is in an artistic/historical context, it's ok.

This is technically parole. Netflix jail is when they take an anime already released in Japan but withhold it for months internationally. That way the people that really wanted to watch it used other means and it gets swept under the rug

Like Dorohedoro and Beastars were. I feel like Netflix has gotten better with this and usually releases weekly or batch drops everything first and then airs it in Japan. Still Netflix ruins a series chance of popularity if they don't release it weekly alongside a Japanese broadcast slot.

Just about to watch ep. 8. Love how every episode has something unique, special, thrilling, and engaging... . . . . . . ...or moving, like the robot dog scene in the next or fifth ep. Monster and 20th Century Boys may be "better" works, but Pluto's pretty great.

Cheers. Another terrific episode! I’d love to see Monster reactions. Urasawa does many of the same things, narrative-wise, and several completely different ones. (Perhaps start the reactions a bit later _if_ you check it out, when the channel gets more of those “guaranteed views” you have mentioned… it seems like 100k+ subscribers often equals 10-20k views per video, and way more for popular shounen/classics).

Anyway, if Delicious in Dungeon also gets overlooked on Netflix, that’d be a bummer. Another seinen series, no Naoki Urasawa fanbase, and I doubt Netflix viewers are excited for another Studio Trigger show. Unless they _really_ emphasize “from the creators of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” in the next trailer.

I think you're the 1st KZfaqr doing this show gj and thanks! "Gesicht" (=face) is actually spelled with a "z" in German, so I wonder if this is some Japanese mispronunciation that not 1 person noticed, I doubt the mangaka specified a unique spelling, or maybe one of the old Atom shows made the same mistake?

I finished reading the manga a few years ago so far it does not feel like stuff has been cut from the manga but i might be wrong because I don't remember all of it.

Part of the deal for this to even happen was that Urasawa wasn’t allowed to mimic Tezuka’s style which he wasn’t planning on doing anyways. 😊

Wrong, it is Miyano Mamoru (Light Yagami, Benimaru Shinmon, Etc.), Makishima was played by Sakurai Takahiro (Sasori, Suguru Geto etc.)
