@@nedcramdon1306 Yes, I was happy to have had them that long, but Aby's are a strong breed over all. I wish I could have another one, but I am not in the situation unfortunately. Maybe some day! 😉

Kent Campbell I've just watched your clips of Dodger - he's stunning :). Don't tell my Bengal, but Abys are still my favourite cat breed (the Bengal is great but if I had to pick just one breed of cat to own it would always be Aby). Have any of your Abys had unusual tastes in foods? My previous Aby and this one both love galia melon - I've also discovered Theo also loves tomatoes, salad leaves and strawberries too (although I only let him have any of that sparingly on rare occasions!).

Theo's coat colour is defined as "chocolate" - it's one of the less common colours and sort of looks half way between "sorrel" and "usual" (so darker/browner than "sorrel" but lighter than "usual" - sorrel is known as red/cinnamon outside the UK, and "usual" is often known as "ruddy" outside the UK). Abyssinians are awesome cats :)

If you're not aware of this - since Abyssinian fur colouring is not solid (their coats are ticked) the colour name for an Abyssinian coat refers to the main ticking colour on the hairs (so a chocolate abyssinian like Theo has chocolate ticking on his hairs, but other than areas where the colouring is more solid like his tail tip his coat colour looks more dilute than the colour name because of the lighter bands also present on the individual hairs)

Rosalie Faun I've had cats before, including an Abyssinian, so I knew what it was like to share my home with them! Although it had been 14 years since my previous cats were kittens, so I'd forgotten quite how much energy kittens have :)

+Abd Khanfar He's a pedigree from a reputable breeder so he was the usual sort of price pedigree cats go for (about £450 I think - but it was a few years ago so I can't be sure!).

Kent Campbell His breeder specialised in chocolate Abys so I'm pretty confident she got it right (she also had fawns, sorrels and lilacs turn up in the litters of course). It can be hard to tell on videos or photos with ruddy vs chocolate vs sorrel as the colour can look a lot different depending on light, how the camera picks it up and the brightness/saturation of the screen displaying the photo or video! I've taken photos where his colour has ended up looking a lot darker/more saturated or lighter/less saturated than it seems when seeing with your eyes. I used to have a ruddy and Theo is definitely lighter than that, but I'm also pretty sure the colour on his back is richer/darker than you'd get with a sorrel.
