Cool game. When I saw the whole Bear Foxtrot collapse all at once, and the ship too, I knew it was an RPG game

I'd expect to see actual "defense reviews" on a channel called "Defense Review", not a bunch of preplanned ArmA 3 scenarios.

Amazing graphics. Imagine in real life nobody firing back at you though. Think you would maybe have not got near the base on your own.

This guy does bad simulations on purpose. I catch myself straining to help him sight and mentally pulling the trigger. He’s a frickin genius, Jedi mind trick. It’s so bad he makes me want to watch just to try and help him out, but it’s no use, I can’t.

Just image having 3 or more of those gunships on a battlefield.

Nowadays, AC -130's have a 105mm cannon/Howlitzer, a 40mm Bofors cannon, and a 20mm Rotary Cannon/Avenger ...and whatever Automatic piece that is, is really firing WAY to slow for a 20mm Avenger, which nearly sounds continuous (4,500 to 5,000 r.p.m) or a 40mm. Bofors, which is slower than that. Actually sounds like a 30mm Chain Gun, which is on the Apaches, and not on the C-130's.

It must suck being enemies.

Obviously that's a pretty unrealistic scenario. In reality one lone AC-130 would get chewed up and spit out by air defenses. The pilot and crew sitting with a sad faces on Iranian TV with a morse coded secret message poked into their shirts. And that last thing actually happened.

It's a freaking video game people, get a grip. It's purposely made easy so that people with no real life military inclination of what's going on can have a little fun. Want people to shoot back triple A at you or ask sitting Migs to take off? Then go to your nearest recruiting station, I'm sure the enemy will be more then happy to oblige. Christ...these commeants.

1.) Destroy Control Tower 2.) Destroy Jets 3.) Destroy Helos 4.) destroy any Anti-Air Defense 5.) Destroy Infrastructural 6.) Personnel Last Learn to lead and shoot!

I am no military strategist, but I think it would be a serious oversight to seemingly *avoid* destroying aircraft on the ground first, rather than going after what are relatively inconsequential individuals. I noticed at least 3 helicopters with their rotors already running, yet the gunner passed right over them, and continued hunting individual people. When attacking an airfield, each enemy aircraft that you allow to take off, becomes a threat to you, and your fellow aviators. If you must destroy something other than aircraft, at least destroy the building in which all of the pilots are gathered. The more I reflect on these observations, the more I suspect that this entire video is some kind of fake.

They need to change the game title to something more appropriate like "Target Practice", "Sitting Ducks", or "Fish in a Barrel"

This is a fun game but in reality, any one who thinks the Chnese of Russian are going to let just fly over and blast the crap out of them will be very disappointed.

This is like the 4th one of these I've watched. This is a video game? I thought it was real. I know I've seen Cobra gunship (of the attach helicopter variety) that looks almost identical, and I would SWEAR that was real. I may have tig back through my view history and make sure it wasn't freaking video game. Crazy good graphics, for night ops type scenario, and I'll crap myself I find out that Cobra footage was a video game. Starting to get a bit worried. How can I e definitively differentiate between real life and video games, when the realism is just so... well, REALISTIC?

I played this same game on PS4 the other night. Interesting how this channel is using it as an actual military engagement.

They'd NEVER let a C-130 gunship anywhere near anything without FIRST clearing and then owning the skies. Otherwise they'd be picked off like the easy targets they'd become...

You bomb the runways first and then go after the helicopters. After that the aircraft are sitting ducks. Personnel can wait. Of course, that would be what you do in REAL LIFE.

What scares the crap outta me is that is even possible with today's weapons. We need to start learning to get along and tell their "guvmnt" to straighten their acts up. We are all going to be doomed. Doomed because this is what we are heading and toward.

If this were real life then this video would never have been seen. It's like every one is saying they gunner was swatting ants while the big stuff was getting away. If it wasn't for the slowness of the simulation then they would have responded with fast reactions with their response. Nobody is throwing ordinance back in the gun ship's direction.

Dreams, dreams... Russian Russian planes would not have been seen by the crew of the AC-130, because a Russian missile would have shot down this junk long before the target.

As the AC 130 approached the target zone the enemy radar did not catch it. As the AC 130 launched its attack - on trucks and other vehicles - the enemy did not scramble its interceptors. Incompetent enemy who deserved to be destroyed.
