The trek from Sari village to Deoria Tal is just 2 kms. The attraction of Deoria Tal is that the shadow of the peaks of the surrounding mountains is visible in the water. apart from this, Deoria Tal also has its own religious significance. Chopta is just 15 kms away from Sari village which takes 1 hr. so you can also stay in Sari village instead of Chopta to go on Tungnath Trek.
Route Information:
Reach Haridwar/Dehradun and then hire cab/book local bus service for Ukhimath. Thereafter, you will get share Jeep to reach Sari village. If you travelling by personal car/bike, you may follow the route which is going towards the Kedarnath. After crossing Srinagnar, Rudraprayag, Tilwara, while you reach the point 'Kund', take the right diversion for chopta-badrinath road. From this point 1hr time is required to reach Sari.
