I lost in my 3-0 match to a crazy dredge deck. Turn 1 mox emerald, survival of the fittest. Turn 2 survival 3 times, vengevine, rootwalla, rootwalla. The deck definitely can be decent.

Thanks for all the awsome content and thanks for the match (opponent game 1)! Mono Blue with Path, Oust and Winds as a splash. The red was a Dack from the SB, had it in hand but you refused to play an artifact I could steal.. Game 1 I tunneled thinking I needed the second white for overload, would probably be better to just kill the Cappa there!

i dont know if the dredge force idea spawned from my comments on the last video but i appreciate the effort I think the most likely scenario is you end up with something that's a blend of dredge and reanimator

The last time dredge was in the cube, I drafted it almost exclusively with tons of success. There aren't a lot of classic early picks that lead to the deck; you have to commit to a Bazaar or Hogaak and believe!

@@teampimpjr The dredge deck also probably fits ok with some of the lands synergy, specifically Six and maybe loam + special land recursion. I'm curious to see it in action. The lands stuff is actually good, but I haven't really had a coherent dredge deck come together.

Would love to see some different cubes in action, there’s a pretty big cube community online I’m sure you could tap into! Don’t get me wrong, it’s neat to watch you take 6 minute turns comboing people into oblivion, but it would be cool to see something more like a very high powered limited set (ie unpowered cube with no combo). Thanks for the videos, keep up the great work!

I actually really liked this deck despite being clowned by that busted mono blue tempo deck which surely 3-0'd. We had bad draws in match one but then WENT OFF in the others so the content was exquisite

I have seen LSV reluctantly pick Myr Battlesphere and put in in the SB in multiple of these decks. This is puzzling to me: it is very castable and making 5 artifacts seems just insane with Urza, academy, saga, saheeli, and even time warp (battlesphere into time warp off of urza anyone?!). Why is this not the best 7 drop for these decks/what am I missing?

I would've taken tamiyo over gut, just seems so good with saga + urza + academy + cannoneer (makes it unblockable on attack) + buying back wheels. Will have to see how it panned out in the games

Why'd you pick jace over consider? I mean it's not the best cantrip, but it helps keep the curve low and the deck consistent, which is really all you need, right?

I think it's for the best that you didn't force the deck. If you really want to give it the best shot possible, you'd force it after opening the draft with a particularly powerful dredge piece. To be fair, I'm not even sure what that would be. None of the cards in dredge stand out to me as being signposts for the archetype.

I think you've been a little hard on graveyard strategies, and they aren't going to be the best in the Cube. So I don't think you should force them but if it's there and your first picks work well, then that's when you might force it.

I feel like the hard thing about that strategy is that generally good first picks don’t synergize with it. You really have to make a effort it looks like

@@mekhihernandez4478 true. I'm not sure any first picks pull in that direction. Mox Emerald, thought seize, demonic tutor, force, and maybe library are the kinds of cards that are individually powerful and would work well in the graveyard deck. There's probably a more powerful deck for those cards though in most drafts. Maybe you just move in when you see late survival, Vengeance, etc.
