Let's Take It Back To Where It All Started. Much Respect To All Of The Hard Working Men & Women In Our Country. PreOrder My New Album "WAR"
Lyrics:
Not sure what y'all doin', I'm puttin' hard work in
And everything I got bet your ass I earned it
Up early, 4:30
You wanna make clean money gotta get dirty
Tie your boots up, look in the driveway
That ain't a new truck that's an old Chevy
Spray can black paint lookin' ready
She gets me where I gotta go, ol' black betty
Diggin' holes, loadin' dirt, drivin' nails
Got a bunch of stickers on this ol' lunch pail
Yeah, hard hat with a flag on the back
And if you don't like that then it's fuck you Jack (Fuck you Jack)
Get it in 'til it's time to go
Clock out, get on down the road
This old truck gets me where I gotta go
But she only plays rock-n-roll
Tough shit, hard work everyday
I ain't got a lot but at least I'm gettin' paid (Gettin' paid)
Hard work (Hard work), dirty hands (Dirty hands)
Clean money, oh Lord yeah
Tough shit, hard work everyday
I ain't got a lot but at least I'm gettin' paid (Gettin' paid)
Hard work (Hard work), dirty hands (Dirty hands)
Clean money, oh Lord yeah
Not sure what y'all doin', I'm a the bar drinkin'
I work my ass off just to make it to the weekend
So pour a long shot of Jack Daniels
Jim Beam, Johnnie Walker, I'm an animal
Let's crack a cold one it's been a hot day
I'll buy the first round, I finally got paid
I'm just a simple man, make an honest livin'
Came a long way from bein' locked up in prison, yeah
Get it in 'til it's time to go
Clock out, get on down the road
This old truck gets me where I gotta go
But she only plays rock-n-roll
Tough shit, hard work everyday
I ain't got a lot but at least I'm gettin' paid (Gettin' paid)
Hard work (Hard work), dirty hands (Dirty hands)
Clean money, oh Lord yeah
Tough shit, hard work everyday
I ain't got a lot but at least I'm gettin' paid (Gettin' paid)
Hard work (Hard work), dirty hands (Dirty hands)
Clean money, oh Lord yeah (Lord yeah, Lord yeah)

My father was a mechanic. He loved working on cars. He loved God, his family, and Chevrolet. He worked all day at a company in town in a warehouse then would come home and run his shop. He usually had someone waiting on him so he would eat and go straight back to work. He did this 5 1/2 days a week then he would take us to town on Saturdays because he was going to get his steak and we could get one too. On Sundays, he would take us to church and then we would catch a movie sometimes. The last several years of his life Parkinson's disease wrecked his body. His grip had been so strong from turning wrenches he could put about anybody on the ground before Parkinson's. His hands were scared and tougher than leather. the grease was worked deep into his skin. He has been gone eight years now. I miss him every day. Hard Work, Dirty Hands, Clean Money, and he was the best man.

One thing I truly appreciate about this song, and about Adam Calhoun in general is that it/he is unapologetically Blue-collar. It seems today there are so many people who just want to diminish and look down on this group of people. It isn't just a type of work, but basically a culture in itself. Part of the middle to lower class that isn't afraid to get down in the dirt and get sh*t done if it means feeding their families. If it needs doing they roll up their sleeves and do what they have to in order to provide. They don't try to hide who they are or pretend to be something they are not, but rather display exactly what they stand for for everyone to see. It's the most honest, hard-working and strong-willed group of people on the planet. Don't be mistaken, without them the world would cease to go round. These are the people who raised me and the people that I look up to. The ones that I am proud to call my own, and whose footprints I hope to continue following. Thank you to all the people who go out there and bust @ss everyday to feed your own and keep this world on track. Also, thank you ACal for making a song that pays tribute to this way of life and to those who live it.

They never had thier respect taken to start with! What he is doing tho is keep pushing the agenda for low class people to the slavery machine.. maybe he isn't aware of it because he is a KZfaqr which definitely makes less relatable but that "proud american agenda" is basically rules made by the rules to keep on ruling while low class people staying in thier place. Anyone who was low class and got richer stopped following that agenda in a way and throw the limiting beliefs to the trash. It's 2020 time to wake up.
