Жыл бұрынThird-seeded Virginia Tech took the win in its quarterfinal matchup against sixth-seeded Miami in dominant fashion, 68-42. The Hokies controlled the glass, going +13 in rebounds. Liz Kitley had another impressive outing with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Georgia Amoore finished with 16 points off a 5-9 performance from beyond the arc. She also had 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Taylor Soule added 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists in the win.

Great crowd of 7,823. Lousy game by Miami. No Miami player in double figures. Outrebounded 37 to 50. Destiny Harden averaging 12 points only made 2 points here. Coach Meier said that Des was sick that day. Haley Cavinder averaging 12 points only scored 6 points. Lazaria Spearman at 6'4" was still out with an injury. Miami had beaten Virginia Tech 66-77 at home in their only regular season matchup on January 8, 2023.
