Playing in South Bent, the North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the host #16 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 61-57. The North Carolina defense held Notre Dame scoreless for 3:40 of the final 3:41 to hold on to the lead. Indya Nivar came off the bench to lead UNC in scoring with 16 points. Nivar also had five rebounds and five steals. Lexi Donarski added 13 points and 6 rebounds. For Notre Dame, Hannah Hidalgo had 17 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and four steals. In her first game back from injury, Sonia Citron scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
