In the darkest moments of my life, I’ve learned to look to the smallest of things for hope. Life truly is a series of choices made moment by moment and we control the trajectory. In the darkest of moments, I chose beauty. More specifically, the beauty of nature and how it always finds a way. Early morning sunlight on blooming flowers, the intricate patterns of frost on glass, a refreshing warm spring rain, sunlight trickling through tree branches… you get the idea. Simple joys can be the foundation for the hope which keeps us going. We can’t lose sight of this as we navigate through our circumstances day by day. It can be easy to fall into despair but if we look to our simple reminders of what is, we can make it to the other side of it much stronger and wiser than before.

It is beautifully explained how we lose the opportunities for simple pleasures in life when we get bogged down by events whose effects are magnified manyfold by our minds, which incessantly create non-existent scenarios. We all need time to reflect on our lives so that our ability to find meaning is sharpened. Life may not have any intrinsic meaning, but we can create meaning for our lives in the context of everything around us.

Check out "nature boy" by "Gandalf" and LIFE does means love as you say, but many still use good and evil and call it love. Two love and be loved is the same holy spirit as a virgin marry. But LIFE will always reach true love as 1-6 means LIFE is L IF E because we receive two sides as F that wed as L and then we must wed sides again in reverse to cancel both sides of thought both ways at L L [six] and then we see as Love is an "I' and no longer sides of thought. That is to love and be loved as one. L IF E is a secret.. because are Ego or Emotion is two halves of time [old to new] as an L and F were joined as an E so that the L is the old behind as sides wed at sin, and then the new testament is the F leftover as us now at faith use F to see evil from good and then wed again as another L has no evil side and love is then "I' had sides De part as one and then go from you as love and be loved as the same lord is yet to come. E=L F to get six from three and square the C Einstein. HE escapes HE-LL at six and s-even is heaven as the plural of six even here goes back into s-even in the light [lie crossed] between the sixes 6 6 6. You never saw seven when you saw 6 6 6 because seven says even which is still the 6.

Beauty will save the world- Dostoyevsky. He survived a decade in a gulag- it seems like the harshest experiences allow quiet things to shine with great meaning. Wildflowers, cloud patterns, the delicacy of the human wrist… all these “little” things are blindingly graceful, sensitive, and almost audacious, affronting in the face of horror, because they do not agree- everything is NOT ugly or meaningless. Grace, embodied, lives, and therefore: there is meaning, beyond the conditions of human insanity at the moment. I would love to hear you talk about the Ancient Greeks’ take on beauty and its meaning 🩷🌸.

"Our 'love for life' is always, in some way, unrequited love. (...) Life does not care about us, it does not even know of our whereabouts. Contrary to what is said, it gives nothing for free, everything we manage to obtain is snatched away from us. Life does not need us. We chase after it, we humiliate ourselves, we beg, we accept everything it makes us go through, the greatest sufferings. Many are capable of the worst moral acts just to preserve it a bit more. (...) To those who ask, "But, do you not love life?" we should answer, in a poetic way: "Of course I love life; I always did. I always wanted to live, but it is life that does not let me live, that limits me, that hurts me, that makes me ill and destroys me. It is not me who does not want to live, because life is everything I always wanted. I wanted to build and life tore down everything I built; I wanted to love and life killed everything I loved. Do not say that I do not love life; it is life that does not love me, that does not love anybody." - Julio Cabrera

I am currently undergoing a separation with my wife. I took some counseling sessions and learned about validation technique. My co-worker told me he had an argument with his wife about their work-life balance situation. I told him I learned from the counseling that you should not jump right into talking about who has justified cause, reasoning, what is right, wrong, or makes sense. You have to at least show/pretend that you understand her feeling. (Of course, it's better if you actually understand it) I don't think telling that to him made a big impact to their relationship, but I then felt that if I end up influencing even the one couple with things I learned from my experience, there was a meaning I suffered from the experience.

This video reminded me of something I've thought of before. Each person is unique in the universe- a truth that is so profound that it's hard to fathom. With that reality comes a responsibility- one similar to the responsibility mentioned in the video. If we stop and consider the weight of the meaning of that singular uniqueness that we each hold, we realize how beautiful it is. That in itself has meaning. And it's not a moment to compare yourself to someone else. It's a moment to fully grasp the significance and potency of the fact that you are entirely unique. Personally I believe that the characteristics that make you entirely unique in the universe come to full realization in the service of others. We seem to thrive when we're in relationship with other people. I think we're inherently relational beings.

You’re wisdom, sensitivity, and empathy expressed is commendable. Life ahead of us can be beautiful, if we live with heightened awareness choosing intentionally is at the heart of living. Years ago, much to my regret now I gave up sculpting which I recently started again. Doing something we love with passion, brings us immense joy, happiness, and fulfillment, the inner experience-internal sensations of those precious moments give meaning to what we call “Life.”

I like this very much: The idea that the material of life just is--especially as a former seamstress. It's not good or bad. it just is and what are you going to do with it? Our house burned down. We lost absolutely everything on 2/2/22. All I owned were my t-shirt, jeans, and socks. Even my car burned as it was adjacent to the house. I didn't have my birth certificate, driver's license, family photos, nothing. It was all gone. My husband and I had to move to Central NY from the Hudson Valley as, post-Covid, the Hudson Valley was prohibitively expensive. We bought an abandoned house at an auction. Did I feel sorry for myself? Oh, you bet I did!!! But it's turning out to be great as I'm in the process of launching an urban farm! We have perfect sun exposure for gardening and I have discovered that I don't just love gardening I have a real passion for it. At age 52 I've finally found my passion. I spend all day outside in the yard tending to my "crops." I work until I can barely move because I can't stop myself. I just love it so much. One more thing, this has become kind of like "church" for me. I was brought up in an extremely religious household but have given up on organized religion. I hope that doesn't offend as I know stoicism is a philosophy and not a religion. Your message resonates with me and I am grateful.
