It's a shame we have to get old before we can push the negativity aside and to not care so much about what others think of us. Getting old (in my late 60s) has been very freeing for me, in many ways. For decades, into my 30s, I would not step out the door without makeup on my face. Now, it's no big deal to run up to the corner store with no makeup on and not give a damn. Love it!

I'm at that point at 50. Never been happier! Divorced 12 yrs ago... 2nd marriage. I was done. I enjoy my life being my own and giving all my time to my kids without worry of not dividing my time between them and a man. I'm a Grandmother now and I am so incredibly happy in my own skin now. I always felt like a cow because of the way I was treated and comparing myself to other girls including my sisters! Looking back at my pictures from that time … I was the perfect size! I was 5’8” in the 6th grade so of course I weighed more than the tiny girls! I also wore a size 10 shoe! My Dad was 6’5” and wore a size 14 shoe! It’s Genetics! I’m 64 now and I’m good with being a GLAMAZON! It’s empowering!
