While chatting with Alex Cooper on Spotify's "Call Her Daddy," the "Level Up" songstress shared the story of the first time she met her future husband face to face at her home. "We were like talking and talking and talking, and it was crazy. Everything that we talked about we were aligned on," she said of their conversation. Ciara also revealed how Russell swooped in as "Superman" and kept her son safe during that first encounter.

They had a mutual connection in LA, that Russell went through. They had the same fitness trainer. They actually became friends in the latter part of 2014, but didn't meet in person and start dating until 3/2015.
