Prince William’s popularity is on the upswing, while Prince Harry’s is trending down, all of this on top of rumors that the future king is trying to ban his brother from the royal family. The Daily Mail’s U.S. Associate Editor Charlie Lankston is breaking down the reasons behind the deepening divide. “We’ve seen a man whose father and wife are both suffering through cancer at the same time and yet William has not let it stop him. He’s missed one event during the entire time,” Charlie told Access Hollywood. “A lot of people are looking at him and just thinking, wow, how is this guy doing it.” In sharp contrast to Prince William, Prince Harry’s popularity has been on the decline. “I think that people over time even here in the U.S. have grown tired of the constant attacks on the royal family. I think there is also a bit of a perception that they are kind of trying to turn themselves into celebrities,” she added. Charlie also weighed in on new reports that William wants to ban Harry from the royal family.

Good to know that abusive behaviour is no longer overlooked or tolerated. I have nothing personal against the ex-working royals as I do not know them, but their unrelenting attacks via different media have frankly been too much for any reasonable person to justify, and exposed the complete contradiction of their claims to privacy vis-à-vis their constant attempts to put themselves at the forefront, see the "Nigeria Tour". No need to hate them, but it is totally understandable that the Prince of Wales wants to protect his family from toxic behaviours and manipulative tactics. It is important to underline that setting clear, healthy boundaries with people who negatively affect one's mental health is appropriate, even when those people are family.
