Күн бұрын"The Young and the Restless" star Eric Braeden is sharing some personal health news with his fans. On Friday, the 82-year-old soap opera actor took to Facebook to share a selfie video explaining that he had recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer while he was recuperating from recent knee-replacement surgery, sharing how his doctor told him about it. Eric continued to reveal the treatment plan his doctor has placed him on, which is immunotherapy. The soap star also shared his workout regimen that he's trying to stick to now with this newfound health issue, before getting emotional with his fans but showing how strong he's staying while fighting this disease. Eric is best known for his role as Victor Newman on the CBS soap opera, for which he has played the part for more than four decades and has also won an Emmy award.

My Dad was diagnosed this past summer and a couple surgeries and 6 treatments…I believe next month he will get surgery again with new biopsies and will get the 6 week treatment…My GrandFather also had it at 82 and a year later he was in complete remission…The key is to keep fighting it….I have had Breast Cancer and looks like it’s starting up again in other parts of my body…It is scary but I rather have 10 surgeries than the suffering what the tumours do to my organs. I pray for him and my Dad for complete healing…Love him for many years on Y&R 🙏🙏❤️❤️

Eric Braden we love you to the moon and back. You !San the world to me. My grandma loved you and your character for 40. You and Y and R were the one enjoyment she had after her stroke which left her with short term memory. I replayed all these tapes of the show as well as watching current episodes,and even though she couldn't follow the storyline her face always lit up when you were on screen. Thank you Mr. Braden. We love you and you will beat this. Praying for you!!!!!!!!

Eric Braden, You are a Fighter and Embracer. You share your story so that others can learn and detect cancer early. Rooting for you, Praying for you and Sending you Love and Hugs. I went through Breast Cancer in 2016 and went through surgery, chemo, radiation and more surgeries and complications during my treatment, getting pneumothorax etc. The Great News, today even though I still have neuropathy from chemo, I am still in remission. So, we will be Survivors from the ugly C word. ❤❤❤❤❤❤💪💪💪

I have beaten colon and 2 bouts of lung cancer. I still am fighting skin cancer and low grade leukemia. I am still fighting the good fight until however it ends. So Eric my love don't give up we love you

This men has charisma like no others. I also learn English by watching Young and restless and his face was the main reason I choose that particular show. At that time there were many soaps to choose from. It’s not easy to watch soaps without speaking English since it’s all conversations and not much action, but his face kept me interested. Soaps are famous for hiring beautiful people, but Eric has special quality within him that is priceless. Good luck with full recovery. My dad wasn’t lucky with doctors. They misdiagnosed him and prostate cancer killed him. I wish I knew more about this horrible cancer then, I probably could prolong my father’s life for several years. Now I will never know

My prayers are with you husband went through it 5 years ago, it was hard blow he wasn't even 60 yet, but the emotional toll on him has just devestated us, his family. He changed like over night. I'm not a man I have no frame of reference, but went through female surgery having everything removed because of cancer. So I hold you and all those going through it my prayers are encompassing, physical and mental and spiritually. With every test that comes by ok we celebrate ! Your celebrating is coming.
