Acciaio Vevor 50KG 110 LBS Anvil Setup

I ordered a 50KG/110LBS cast steel anvil and set it up to be used for blacksmithing and bladesmithing. This is the blue Acciaio (vevor) anvil that is probably of Chineese origin. I'm using it to get started in the craft and it is surprisingly good for that purpose for the price point. Links to it on Amazon and the smaller 30KG version below:

I have the 66 pound one. I've noticed the horn is much better on the 66. Overall I've really enjoyed it. Don't have complaints really. The pritchel hole was weird at first, but it's easily solved by just making a bolster plate with a hole in it.

They are made in the Czech Republic last I've heard

I love mine had it for a yeah use a 3lb hammer mostly and have worked on metal 1.5in thick with a striker no issues

if you can do a hot cut easily on the edge you need to radius a bit more. They're certainly too sharp out of the box. It's fine to keep some of it sharp, i have 3 different radii on mine.

I have 3 anvils some random cast steel 50 kg local hardware store 10 kg and a vevor 20 kg as a smith you’ll need a welder as well to make carts for your tools.

If that Anvil had feelings you'd be doing such a good job with that hole! You look like you have a lot of experience, how do you practice?

Those anvils are just fine just because something is made in china does not mean that it is bad at all

Its been working out for me very well so far. It is a little softer than a drop forged one, so I have made some dents with errant hammer blows. While I prefer to buy local and domestic products, this is great for learning on.

They make some pretty good stuff but usually people don't want to spend the money. I have one of these and have just abused it to save my good Peter Wright and it has held up far beyond my expectations.
