This will always bring back at least 40 childhood memories, because I watched this so much as a kid. And this song made me dance EVERY single time. Its so different when you're young and worry free. I wish I could be 10 years old to watch this movie one more time and feel as I used to just for an hour and a half.

I love this version of Accidentally in Love a whole lot more better than the original version and I also love Accidentally in Love by Counting Crows so much because it's a beautiful and romantic song that really touches my heart and it really helps me fall in love!

This is wrong. In this version, "Come on, come on Move a little closer Come on, come on I want to hear you whisper Come on, come on Settle down inside my love" doesn't exist because it's pretty much sexual. Same with "Just get yourself inside her". Stop copy and pasting without listening to the song. (and yes i know this comment is 2 years old, but come on man.)

I grew up in the 80’s. Played in punk bands in the 90’s. Then bar bands to pay bills, 2010’s Jazz because its the musical language of “elite” musicians I guess. All that being said this song is the one I wish I’d written more than any other. The pressure one of the biggest movie studios placed on Duritz to write the perfect song for Shrek 2 must have been unbelievable. He had to write a catchy, timeless song every member of a family could enjoy within a fairly short period of time. This song is an absolute masterpiece of lyrical songwriting. It deserved to win best song for the academy awards that year. I will always wish I could have fallen in love like this. I will die someday having never felt like this about someone and I will continue to dream about how different my life could have been if I’d only met someone.
