This tutorial teaches you how to make crochet ruffle shorts. Easy and beginner friendly.
Measurements needed -
Hips measurements
Mine, Hips 39.5 inches subtract 4.5 inches = 36 inches
Crotch measurements
Mine 25 inches subtract 2 = 23 inches
Materials
Medium weight size yarn
Tape measure
3.0mm hook
Scissors
Stitch markers

@dahianna4189 it might turn out just a tiny bit off-center if you do the 3rd but I don't think it matters. It should be in the second because you put 3 hdc in the stitch and to make it even it should go in the 2nd.

@TalksWithMoneyy Yes it won't look off-center because you're doing it to the back as well so like I said it doesn't matter. I say do whatever one you want. I'm working on it right now and am doing it into the 2nd one. Just make sure to keep doing that one all the way through. Then it shouldn't matter as much.

@@lillielove7292 do you recommend I do it in the middle of the increase stitch (2nd stitch)instead ? I did notice when I made it the first time it was a bit wonky I jus seen this as I’m making it again literally a stitch before I start my first increase so I hope you see this soon 😭

So my sides are becoming too wide. I'm pretty much shaped like a box. Anyway to fix this. Also is there a pattern I can buy that helps with bigger sizes?

Please make sure you only have an increase of 2 stitches on each row and not more, also, don’t forget to subtract 4.5 I chew from your hips size as you make a foundation chain

Stretch the foundation to your hips measurements as explained in the tutorial if you want a good fit.

How how many chains do I need for size small?

You should measure yourself or whoever so it fits correctly. You could probably estimate it but it might not fit right. Also size small isn't exactly a good way to express what you need cause it's different for everyone.

@dahianna4189 100%. I did what she said. It did not fit around my hips. So I chained what would fit around my hips and was more accurate to my waist. With some stretch.

Wait I started mine already I did the chain to where it fits stretched not relaxed I’m nervous it won’t fit, my last one was too big , I’m about 4 rows in I finished the waistband and I’m starting the increases , it still goes up my butt when I try it on I hope that’s a good sign .

@@dahianna4189 I would keep trying it on while you work on it. The more rows you do the more increases and it will get bigger.
