First. I appreciate you having the 'content creation' resources to do what you do. Second. I truly appreciate your unbiased reviews. We really need such unbiased product reviews and opinions in these times of dopamine overloads. I deep-dived into the FA Intellidropper at a $50 price drop and received it yesterday. The set up, leveling and calibration are done. Here are my observations with the unit being ON for over 24 hours straight. BTW. My powder measure toolbox is comprised of 1) a Beam scale, 2) FA DS-750, 3) FA Platinum Series Precision Scale and 4) FA Intellidropper - the new kid on the block. WEIGHTS: 50 grams is equal to 771.618 grains. 100 grams equals 1543.236 grains... (771.6 or 1543.2 grains respectively). * Of the two (2) included 50gram calibration weights? One weighs 772.0 grains. The other weighs 771.7 grains. Total calibration weight is 1543.7 grains. This is +.5 grains difference * included powder pan weighs in at 143.9 grains Calibration calls for 50 grams then another 50grams then the unit responds with PASS. Remember - 1543.7 grains -- IN MY CASE I took the two (2) 50 gram calibration weights that came with the FA Platinum Series Precision scale... each weighing 771.6 grains and recalibrated the Intellidropper. A resounding PASS with these (different) weights. So we have a PASS at a total of 1543.7 grains and a PASS at 1543.2 grains. There is a difference of .5 grains between the two sets of calibration weights. I have three (3) different powder pans now. The new pan (above) weighs 143.9 grains. The one that came with the Platinum Series weighs in at 126.2 grains. My favorite pan - due to ergonomics - weighs in at 146.9 grains. TARE or ZERO: Once done, shows us a ZERO on the display... in my case, all three (3) scales My FA DS-750 and the FA Platinum Series CORRECTLY reads each individual powder pan weight. The FA Intellidropper is OFF by +.1 to .+2 and or fluctuating between +.1 and +.2 grains. Dropping 25.1 grains of powder on the Intellidropper indicates STABLE at 25.1grains. GREAT! However, pouring the 25.1 grains into either the ZEROed DS-750 or the Platinum Series their readings are OFF by -.1 grain sometimes -.2 grains. Hey. A running clock is correct twice a day. Who cares if it's carrying the CORRECT time... "Eh?" I load for 5 different calibers. Thank goodness my Mitutoyo Calipers (a bit pricey) all calibrate properly on known measuring blocks and will display identical measurements. There is some appreciated Eye Candy with the FA Intellidropper. But, when loading for a ladder test where target loads vary by +.2 or +.3 grains of powder? All other human variables considered... how confident can you really be when running the test if there is varying consistency (an Oxymoron) in your powder charges? Perhaps this diatribe might help someone in making a decision. Join a small group organization... LOL

I recently bought my second one because I was so impressed with my first one. The accuracy is outstanding. I checked numerous loads and none were more than 0.03gn over or under. It’s very fast especially with the powder calibration function. I never use the App mainly because I’m so used to writing everything down I just forget there is one. Maybe one day I’ll store my favourite loads but it’s just so easy to use and much of my data is also in my head. It’s very intuitive to use too. I barely looked at the manual. Another thing I checked too was if the drift affected the charge weights but it doesn’t, they are obviously weighed from what it determines is zero. The emptying is a bit crude but after you’ve used it for a while you develop your own method and can be almost certain all the powder is out. I certainly bought a more effective brush than the one provided and that helps. Finally the price! Wow, you can own two for the price of one Chargemaster lite!

I’ve had mine for quite awhile now, and it works great. I made it a point to check first weights while loading and periodically throughout my process. I have pet loads in the app with different powders and bullets. I warm my dispenser while setting up to load and calibrate just before starting to dispense. I make it a point to verify complete empty chamber when changing powders using the brush. Always check for complete powder empties. Like Tony the Tiger, IT’S GREAT !!!

It is absolutely a winner I totally agree with you. I believe in that price range the best on the market and potentially even better than some of the higher priced. I compared the old RCBS, Lyman 6 and this one and hands down it is a winner with ONE caveat. YOU MUST run the powder calibration wow does it speed up and give better accuracy. This is even comparing it to the old RCBS which I had tuned and changed parameters for speed. GREAT VIDEO.

I use to double check it every time it dispensed powder. Now every 20 or so times. I love this thing. Very dependable. It will tell you when it dispenses -.1 or +.1, I check those, when they rarely happen, and they are right as well.

I bought one second hand. Definitely pros and cons to any of these units. Yes it does drift a little, but unlike my RCBS CM Lite it actually tells me when it's an overcharge. I really like the powder calibration function, they should all have it. Typical FA cut costs in some place they shouldn't have though. The pan sucks, so I swapped it out for the one from my CM Lite. The ledges under the dispense tube hold powder, and really should have been angled or eliminated, so I pull the tube when cleaning. It would be nice if powder chutes were clear like the hopper. The chute is too short and the shut off cap is hard to grip, they should have some sort of grippy texture. Some gripes to be had, but overall not as bad as the claims I'd heard early on.

I have been using mine for 2 years now, and yes once it is warmed up it just keeps throwing good charges. I have loaded 17 Hornet to 50 bmg with it and it gets the tiny and the stupid large charges right every time. Ball, flake or stick, it just works.

I had a PACT dispenser/scale set. When the scale died, I got this unit, and after two years, it hasn't disappointed. Yeah, emptying the powder kinda sucks, but that's the only nit to pick.

I could not recommend them less. The first one kicked the bucket after 2 months. FA replaced it, but the next two arrived broken. All three had issues related to the touch screen. To their credit, FA eventually refunded my money. From my conversations with customer service, I got the impression issues with the electronics were common.

I have used one of these for over a couple years now and notice that you have a new version! Mine has a blue nameplate and grey buttons on it. Would rate my version 5.5/10 due to the following problems. 1. Drift - you can let it sit for a day and see it drift 5-7 grains, no forced air heating or open windows in the room. I returned the first one for this reason, replacement does the same thing. 2. Consistently undercharges by 2 kernels with extruded powder. Set it to 0.1gr higher it will be right on. 3. App Has not been updated for 3 years. There is a firmware update section but FA has not released a updated firmware. Firmware on my older unit shows F/W Version 40 4. Very difficult to empty all of the powder without unplugging and shaking the unit upside down. The way I use the unit now is to throw my charges and then I use a powder trickler and RCBS beam scale to fix them until I can source an FX-120i locally at a decent price and not have to worry about it getting destroyed by Canada post.

A couple of tricks that might help you. Run your scale on a separate table than the press, keep it away from other electronics (computer/speakers) and set it on a ceramic or glass tile. I have my scale on a 12"x12"x2" concrete tile with rubber bumpers under the corners on a separate table beside the work bench with the press on it. If there is any chance of any kind of draft, I put a wind screen around it. Before that, I would get a 2-3 grain drift sometimes. My pan weights 113.6 grains, so I make sure that I get -113.6 every time I pick up my pan.

I'm still dropping powder and trickling up on my old RCBS 10-10 balance beam scale. I wish I knew how accurate/consistent my loads are. I also have a digital scale with 0.1 grain resolution, but it sounds like I'd need something that has 0.01 or 0.02 grain resolution in order to see if I'm as accurate as the Intellidropper. My last trip to the range sent 45 rounds 0f 6.5 Creedmoor across my Magnetospeed. Min=2701, Ave=2725, Max=2744 with an ES of 43 fps and an SD of 10.0 fps. (6.5 CM, 40.5 grains of H4350, 140 ELD-M. Hornady LRP brass, CCI 200 primers, COAL = 2.840")

Re: scale accuracy. I use a RCBS CM and a Redding beam scale to verify the charge. I've found my CM to be off when comparing to the beam scale. Which scale between the 2 are more accurate if both have been 0'd and cal'd? Thus far, the Beam scale is my authority charge.

NEWS FLASH! IT LIVES... CHEAPO POWER SUPPLY WAS DELIVERING VOLTS BUT NO AMPS! THANKS TO REAL ELECTRONICS, I'M NOW BACK IN BUSINESS. CAVEAT EMPTOR! Mine arrived in the UK via eBay, at first there were issues with the touch screen but these cleared up with a reboot. It worked for about an hour. It then died and I have yet to see an improvement. Customer Support have yet to resolve my complaint after several weeks of waiting. The app works well.

Does your Intellidropper have the White or Grey buttons? How about the name plate, is it blue or does it look like the one in the video? It looks as though the one tested in the video is a new hardware revision that may operate better than the ones we ended up with.

I love mine, but it's annoying it won't keep the powder calibration after power off, and if you hit dispense button more than once it zeros out the powder charge. I don't even let mine warm up more than 5min, no issue. tho it's .1 to .2 grains higher than my RCBS scale. Who knows what's right! It's all relative tho, doesn't really matter. If it shoots good, it's good!

More unsolicited input into one of the complaints with the intellidropper by FA. That is the (poorly placed) empty spout and the stiffness associated with turning it. Hope this workaround helps other users/owners remedy the situation. Try a small squirt of WD40 onto the tip of QTip. If a bead or teardrop forms on the tip? Put the tip to a paper towel to suck up the excess. A little goes a long way!!!! Now, rub the moistened QTip on the GRAY inner spout and rotate the BLACK knob repeatedly until the WD40 works its magic. Do NOT spray WD40 up into the spout!!! Doing that could cause an End User Warranty issue!!! Just moisten the GRAY tip of the spout - where the BLACK cap rotates and this (might) add the missing lubricity. It's working for me after day #2 of ownership and run time. YMMV. Think Small... groups...
